He was managing his team and had other things on his mind, it's not his place to comment on them (the club's statement did that pretty well).

And even claiming that he supports the songs, are you serious ?
Did you miss the several times in the past where Ally has said that it has to stop ?
If he had nothing to say then fair enough, if he said I think the club statement covers it then fair enough but he decided to comment and made light of what they done.

I'm aware that mc coist has been vocal in his opposition to this stuff previously but since ye reformed and keeping the fans onside has been more important than ever he has gone soft on the issue, he who pays the piper and all that.

Had to laugh at the comment about their fans being sensational home & away. Granted they are yet to emulate the crimes of their previous club but there have been plenty away games followed by complaints from the home fans about Ger pelting them with lighters, singing naughty songs, getting arrested, sick banners etc. But on the other hand 30k fans in Div 3 timmy - simply ra best!!!

Of course I am. It paints Rangers in a bad light so I must be a proven bigot and liar. Keep your head in the sand, with any luck the tide will come in ;)

It used to be funny to highlight your stupidity, now it's just predictable and boring :(

Maybe you could pop back in the Celtic thread and whine about how those jolly craicsters of the GB are being oppressed and how they are the best thing since sliced bread. :D

I mean, when they are faced with a huge amount of banning orders it's because the police are out to make some arrests, when it's Rangers fans it's because they're evil bigots. :pac:

I'd like to know what you think of super ally describing sectarian chanting " a little bit naughty" or will you pretend it was just swearing he was talking about or maybe after masterminding a 3-1 victory at Berwick hid brain was too fried to process sectarian chanting is wrong

Lol really the crowd doing the singing are by far the minority ghemselves are the same ones that up until recently had been doing a good job building the atmosphere but they aren't getting there own way now and have decided to play silly buggers. There are probably a group of about three thousand and after today the majority of bears are totally against them. So Ally doesn't need to sook up to them. And Green certainly won't. Bet there are a few doors knocked on about six in the morning in the coming weeks. They also tried it on today because we were playing in England where they have different laws

The best part is that the irony of your post completely escapes you.

Here's a little hint about 'ad hominem': It is used to bypass an argument from the other side.
You didn't make an argument, just a cheap shot.

    Hence, it doesn't apply.

    Try again ?

Really will I go and find all the banning orders stemming from the great Green Brigade or the various arrests that have been made. Really it's pathetic and this is the difference very few comments were made by Rangers fans when the greeting brigade statement was posted but low and behold like weans waiting for sweeties tic fans couldn't wait sad sad lot

I was kind of wondering that myself tbh

Today I learned that 4 (well, actually 3 since two of them are about the same incident) constitutes 'plenty'.

Guys if you want to talk about Celtic you should stick to the Celtic thread.

It's hardly comparing like with like though is it? The GB statement was in response to perceived harassment etc etc, today is about sectarian singing by rangers fans that was highlighted by the commentator which you have to admit is quite unusual

what:confused: You always make posts that have no context

I was replying to Bhosca's post of 'plenty' incidents.

3 in total, some of them it's not even mentioned if it was Rangers fans.

Are we really going to start this 'you should always quote the post you're replying to' bollocks again ?

It's not bollocks, it's common decency to other posters. It takes a split second to do it. How is anyone supposed to know what post you're replying to?? i thought it may have been to do with the number of arrests when i read it first but in that context it made no sense.

People will understand what I'm referring to if they read previous posts.

Granted, it takes a few seconds ;)

true, whereas it would take you a mere split second

Glad to see the Care Bears are mostly against this stuff but your point about mccoist begs the question why does he seem to be sucking up to them by making light of their behaviour? After all, the club was able to respond swiftly against it

I know you'll dismiss the point I'm making because I'm a Celtic fan but mccoist decided to make little of their behaviour when it was far easier for him to call it as it was

I can't read McCoists mind in all fairness but I do know he is against what happened today

In all fairness McCoist is probably too scared of the "sensational" Rangers support to criticise them. He's been found out big time as a manager and his only hope of keeping the job is because he's one of them.

Fraser Aird's comments have brought more embarrassment to the club though and I would be surprised if McCoist didn't discipline him.

I will start backwards I am delighted the commentator made an announcement on it and I will expect the same when other clubs chant sectarian or offence stuff.
Today that lot used being in England as a way to try and get round the law but it was also z protest as they believe like the GB they are being unfairly treated by the club, stewards and police. You can add the majority of fans into that now as well

Maybe it reads differently to what he means

On a slightly different note, Rangers legend Kris better than Larsson Boyd is signing for Killie

Im sure if thousands of celtic or other fans are chanting sectarian slogans then the commentator will rightly pull them up

Re your second point, it was a pretty stupid way to highlight their grievance and I think the GB have the majority of fans on their side however.

Therein lies the difference our lot certainly don't have the majority of fans on there side they did have but various incidents over the last couple of years have changed that
As for being pretty stupid yes they are it is a hard core of younger guys ie18 or so controlled by a few older ones ie guys in their forties

Well we will see because it was done at our recent cup tie with the Arabs

Are you seriously trying to compare what went on today with the Green brigades issue with the club??? Thats just laughable. The GB dont engage in the kind of disgraceful behaviour thats some of your lot did today. Please dont try and compare the two groups
