whats the best acoustic
guitar for beginner and where would be the best place to buy it online or in a shop
Also
does anyone know where there are good guitar lessons for cheap in cork/kerry area

Depends how much you want to spend.
As a complete beginner I don't think you'd go wrong with a Yamaha. You could try thomann.
If your looking for something really cheap and cheerful you could try a SX branded guitar. I think Waltons sell them.

as a complet beginner, take someone who plays guitar to the shop with you and get them to play the guitars first.

don't be tied to a name, because at the budget end there isn't the same consistency as there is further up the price bands.

Yamaha are pretty solid though I had a Yamah 12 string for 20 odd years.....

I've played £100 acoustics that were better than the £1600 guitar hanging at the other end of the shop.

Not the most knowledgeable but I've been learning guitar for a about a month. I bought a yamaha f310 in a package with a tuner strap etc on amazon andi'm really happy with it it's excellent quality for the money. I think it's about €130 in waltons.

best bet is, as martinedwards says, get someone who plays guitar to have a look at a few first. you can be lucky with the on line stuff but, equally, you can be unlucky. sx are grand, cort usually have a nice bright tone, yamaha. bought a nice squire(fender) for someone recently, at 35 euro you couldnt get better value. do remember that if you buy something half decent, you ll have it forever. if its a plank, you just wont play it. whereabouts are you? a friend of mine is based in rathcormac and gives lessons.
