Still in talks with Tennents I think, they want to extend the deal at a lower price, I don't think many will be known until that is resolved.

Yeah notice they are doing a fair bit of kicking off the ball as well

lol, as i type that Peterhead go down to ten men after a second booking for deliberate hand ball.
Which imo was a bit harsh on him, but given the tackles that have flown in during the second half, as a team peterhead are lucky to still have ten.

See I don't think it was harsh he clearly uses not one but both hands to bring it down idiotic IMO he could have used his chest

Seen this elsewhere and it made me chuckle
CG: "Right bares, Mike Ashley has ponied up £250k to rename the stadium to the Sports Direct Arena"

    Bares: "We urny having that"

CG: "OK, pay more than Mike Ashley & you can have the naming rights to the stadium"

    Bares: "Here's £300k, Mr Green"

CG: "thanks bares, what do you want the stadium to be called?"

    Bares: "Ibrox"

    No shame what so ever

They will be arguing, we are not the same as went before

    http://www.parliament.uk/edm/2012-13/913

    Early day motion 913

    RANGERS TAX LIABILITIES

    Session: 2012-13
    Date tabled: 14.01.2013
    Primary sponsor: Galloway, George
    Sponsors:
    Campbell, Ronnie
    Hopkins, Kelvin
    McGovern, Jim

That this House notes that the owners of the club now playing in the Scottish Third Division called Rangers claim that it is the same club with the same history as the liquidated club also known as Rangers; further notes that 14 million in VAT and PAYE was withheld in the run-up to administration by the previous Rangers; further notes that the club is now cash-rich through a share issue which raised in excess of 20 million; condemns the use of insolvency laws to avoid paying tax owed; and calls on the Government to take steps to reclaim the outstanding monies from Rangers and to bring forward legislative proposals to prevent clubs and companies sidestepping their liabilities through liquidation and then carrying on trading with effectively the same name and in exactly the same business.

the graph seems to be drawn wrong too. the height of the red graph should be much lower, unless of course their exaggerating for dramatic effect

Surely not  No, 38,000 is exactly double 37,000, Rangers and figures eh?

I believe the bars should be broken to indicate they aren't to scale, otherwise, as in this case, the chart just becomes meaningless. The current season has only 96 more tickets sold than 10/11 but looks almost twice as big.

That's more like it. I have a funny feeling income from season tickets sales might not look quite the same though :)

Definitely, it would be interesting to graph the ST income. I bet 50% less

But you can't throw around quotes about expanding the ground on the basis of that bar chart, and with champions league football in the European super league via the conference on the horizon for such a profitable club, we all know, based on the original chart, that the expansion is a must

    The original chart proves that

So lets see Galloway a well known bigot and cat impersonator who kids on he is a socialist thinks that what happened is wrong he obviously doesn't know UK company law also he should read HMRC findings where they state they are pursuing the person responsible
I am sure his Constituets in the 90% Muslim ward he represents will be really happy he is wasting his time chasing cheap publicity

Another day of Celtic fans posting crap in the Rangers thread I see. Why not just fill your own thread with your 'funny' mocking nonsense and let us talk about the football, not the size of a bloody graph that really isnt significant to you, your club or any talk of development of our stadium. The stadium belonging to club you deem as m eaningnothing to Celtic fans, yet you still want to talk about us. It really is no wonder this thread goes days without posts now when all we get is certain people peddling their own wee agendas.

Montrose tomorrow, we need a big performance to get over two relatively poor recent ones. Hopefully avoid injuries to anyone for Tannadump next week.

There's a difference between discussing transfer news affecting a club and openly baiting responses from fans, as you again just showed with the above post.

Other threads are monitored so closely, this thread is a free for all.

No it's not that you can't come in here that would be silly but it is pretty obvious it is only to take the piss. Very rarely do you lot come in to talk football

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,294 ✭✭✭LiamoSail

To be fair, with what green comes out with, do you expect people not to take the piss?

From the man himself, we've heard about the old club dying if no cva is agreed, then the old club living on despite no cva being agreed, that he'll achieve champions lge football, that you won't play in the spl, Adidas and the Dallas cowboys mega deals, the renaming of a ground with a deal not more then one year but up to five years, how ibrox needs to be expanded, a christmas fairytale, requests for a side three leagues above his to sell tickets only to away fans in their ground, and a bar chart in which the whole logic behind bar charts has been tossed aside.

Genuinely, do you honestly expect people not to point out the absurdness of Green's public statements?

If any other club manager in the world posed beside that graph football people would be laughing at it. It's all part of an ongoing trend, the zombie hordes will swallow swallow anything. And actually youa and your ilk do mean something to celtic fans. You're part of something rotten in Scottish scoiety.

The bolded parts? Any chance of further enlightment? As for bringing religion into it well what else is new with you lot? Absolutely pathetic. And those same constituents will have their say at the next election so dont you worry about it. You've shown yourself up here and im surprised tbh.

It's four in the morning so excuse me while I laugh. For a start where in my post do I mention religion and secondly I am a socialist and he makes a mockery of it by trying to circumvent the law of the UK. Wasting time with antics such as the one in the post when he should be pressing the Tories on why the UK is now in a triple dip recession.

Anything to have a go at Rangers I suppose.
You lot aren't just 'talking about Rangers', don't kid yourselves on.
