    Rumours getting stronger that:

    1. The deal with Sports Direct for renaming Ibrox is done
    2. Macron to provide kits next season

    What or who is Macron??

Kit producers for West Ham, Napoli, Lazio, Leeds, Millwall, Villa, Monaco,...

And closer by Bohs, Shels, Waterford,...

Not the most famous brand, but if the numbers rumoured are true Rangers would be insane to turn it down.

What are the 'rumoured numbers'? I thought Charles Green said something about Adidas making your kit???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

5 year deal, worth 2.5m per year.

But as I said, rumours ;)
Adidas was also that, just a rumour.

Didn't Charles say Adidas were going to be making them though, or that was just made up 'rumours' then?

He said it was an option that was being looked at, that's all if I recall.

No he said it was one option along with Puma and others

If I was a creditor of Rangers I'd be demanding some of this money.

Any idea who your new sponsor is?

Plenty of rumours doing the rounds that it's a blue chip company known as McGill's Coaches.

a bit more than that .....
Rangers chief Charles Green set to announce strip deal with giants adidas
    21 Sep 2012 07:26
THE German manufacturers will replace Umbro in producing the Ibrox club's kit from next season.
RANGERS are on the brink of sealing a deal with strip manufacturing giants adidas to produce the Ibrox club's kit from next season.
Chief executive Charles Green and director Imran Ahmad revealed to fans in Canada that the club hopes to announce the partnership with the German giants, who will take over from Umbro, next week.
Green and Ahmad are on a whistle-stop tour of four cities – Toronto, New York, Orlando and Houston – in four days to speak to North American supporters’ groups and discuss commercial and sporting partnerships – including a potential link-up with NFL giants Dallas Cowboys.
Ahmad told fans in Toronto: “Fingers crossed we will sign with adidas this week.
“They said to me we’ve lost Liverpool and Real Madrid, Rangers will be the biggest club we have. We would have spots in adidas stores in North America. There are massive brand development opportunities.
“We have been in talks with Dallas Cowboys about commercial partnership and we are looking to start an academy in North America.”
Listening to your man Ahmad, you would swear that Adidas were asking to be the sponsors

Do I remember correctly that the Dallas Cowboys also rubbished the proposed link up?

Or maybe it never materialised ?

    Shocking, I know.

Maybe it didn't materialise for a valid reason.
But maybe it was nonsense in the first place. The Dallas Cowboys said they had no such knowledge of any conversations about a link up.
Found the link with a quote from them Scotzine

I think BBE already explained what we all think of Scotzine ;)

On another, and far more interesting note:

Talksport had an interview with the chairman of the Conference in England, who said a majority of clubs are in favour of Rangers joining.

Have Adidas not signed up with Arsenal? So are Rangerd bigger than them now too? The amount off crap talk that comes out of Rangers now is unreal, the good do themselves a favor by just getting on with things.

Who said Rangers were bigger than Arsenal never seen any comments like that at all. It really amazes me the interest our wee club has for non fans of it ;)

How has Black been performing in Division 3? I don't hear him being mentioned much recently.

To be honest he has went off the boil recently. If himself and Hutton play in cm I feel that they are to much alike and if I had a preference I would play Hutton

He has been complaining that he is on the receiving end of some dodgy tackles. Surname of his is very apt when used with the popular idiom with the pot and the kettle

To be fair he has and in the main hasn't reacted. It is his overall play I am concerned with

Do the quotes attributed to you director above not say Rangers will be the biggest club Addidas have or am I reading it wrong.

I read news about all teams and it just strikes me that Green or someone else in the club is always spouting out some moronic sh*t? Surely as fans you must get sick if it?

To be honest if Scotzine told me today was Sunday I would be checking. He has said some things when he should have kept quiet but thats his way. After 20 years of or chairmen not saying a word when the club or fans were attacked it makes a pleasant change even if he jumps in to quickly at times. I think you may see his style of statement change in the coming months.

    Oh, we're playing away ?

Guess I'll put a BTTS bet on then ;)

Fair enough not familiar with Scotzine usually when you see it quoted its usually true! If my club was spouting out crap I'd hope someone in the club would step in, any match on enjoy!
