was at home there listening to the games that were off on sky sports news, all lower league so far but it reminded me of tuning into to the CKR radio to see if my school would be called out for a snow day!

Saints v Everton in doubt as underground heating broke apparently

Southampton v Everton game in doubt on Monday, Southampton's under soil heating is broke. (Not a wind up) @Everton @EvertonArentWe

Might give Southampton a chance to familiarise Pochettino with his new team.

Would be happy with that as I've only Puncheon from those two and it'd stop Fellaini and Lambert playing.

temps as low as -4 and -5 due in London on Sat and Sun, as well as predicted snowfall today and tomorrow. Then more snow on Tues ahead of Arsenal West Ham game. this could be carnage

Swansea City and the Liberty Stadium remain hopeful that tomorrow's Barclays Premier League match will go ahead as scheduled.

We can report that the Liberty Stadium pitch is fine and that the surrounding areas have been cleared of any snow that has fallen today.

There are also no issues with the main roads in the immediate vicinity of the stadium.

Any further updates throughout the day will be made on both Clubs website and the Liberty Stadium official website, so please keep in contact for any further news.

London is covered in snow though and it's still falling.

    That pitch looks 100 percent

It's not the pitch that matters. It's usually the surrounding area is why PL games are called off

seeing as there's no captain thread yet i'll post my little gem of advice in here.

when picking your captain this week pick your vice captain from a different game, preferably even a different part of the country.

the temptation might be to put walcott as captain and say cazorla/podolski as v.c but if one game is called off the both will miss out (i know arsenal have two fixtures but the reason people are picking arsenal players is because of the dgw, and it might not even be cleared for the midweek game) so safer bets would be walcott as captain and then suarez/tevez (different area of the country) as vice captain.

    I like your thinking sir.

    Now Hogey, that's a good strategy :)

Living in Newcastle. Can see the top of St. James Park from my kitchen. I can confirm it's snowing heavily here and has been for a few hours. Fair accumulation of snow here now.

West Brom v Villa under threat. Another one with no real impact for me.

I can't see any games being called off. Too many people could leaving to go to games at this stage or preparing to. It's like after 9 in England now I think. decisions to cancel a game would surely have to be made early given that they can easily tell well in advance of travel conditions and safety.

i agree, it seems unlikely any of today's games will be called off now, only one i think there's a bit of doubt around is the evening game between west brom and villa but i doubt that will effect too many people.
I think there's still doubts about southampton v everton monday night but we won't hear anything about that before the deadline.

Think the only concern with the Southhampton game was to do with a burst pipe that affected underground heating if I'm remembering correctly. Plenty of time to keep the pitch playable. Might be just a bit hard. Which would be good for a passing team. Fellaini to bag a brace.

Fellaini is my only interest in that match, I'll be putting him in my starting 11 anyway.
Wouldn't actually mind if it was called off, a lot of people stocked up on southampton players last week for the dgw (and most got rewarded)
