Was the Tartan another name before the Brewmaster, the owners name maybe, something starting with F??
I remember Reflections (Wine Bar/Disco Bar) on the Main St, the Cois Farraige on the seafront.
What was the name of the pub further down towards Bray Head from the Cois on the corner of the road that leads up to Sidmonton?

Where the Martello is used to be O Sheas

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Nah other direction - I'm thinking something like the Doon A Lawn (spelling).
Still think the Tartan had an interim name before the Brew.

The Marine was where Goldsmiths is now - that was a decent old mans pub

The Shillelagh was down past Dunnes on Quinsboro Rod - more recently known as The Silver Fern - that was a kip

The 19th Hole was on the Main Street beside Vance & Wilsons Chemist - never drank there

Missisippi Rooms was opposite the Dug Inn at the level crossing - was the Hibernian in later years

Before the Wavecrest was the Melifont Hotel - a total kip

Katz/ Reflections - yes they were where the Old Bray Inn is now - but before the disco bar era that was The Sugarloaf Inn (good name)

I was talking to my Uncle. The bridge house was the one on the bridge

This cottage was still there in the early 80s before dawsons expanded. Anyone got more pictures of this area of the seafront especially the old dawsons building?

Sorry, confused myself on the Wavecrest - that was indeed where the Porterhouse is now. The Westbourne (formerly the Melifont) was the one I was thinking of on Quinsboro Road.

    19th Hole = Brewmaster, correct.

You will get all the old pictures you can handle in Henry Cairns Pictorial History books.

Ah yeah, the ocean cafe bar, dont know much about stacks but that place just has a perennial bad rep, though we used to hit barmondos years ago on friday afternoon, along with most of bray it seemed for the after work deals.

Dont know if the mayfair / blacks has been mentioned?
