    I wouldn't say that it is OK to hate homophobes or racists.

    Nevertheless, it's materially different for hating gays or Nigerians. In one case you are reacting againt what people do - the choices they make, the views they express, the actions they take - you are responding to their moral decisions, for which they are accountable. In the other, you are reacting simply against who they are.

    Because racism and homophobia are opinions - you can learn about these things and either change your viewpoint or at least be able to defend it. Orientatation and nationality are not something you can change with education.

    Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    It is not OK to hate anyone. It is OK to hate a prejudice, such as racism, homophobia, or even many politically correct prejudices, but not the person. And it is only OK to hate a prejudice if it is utterly irrational, unfounded or itself based on hate.

    In their pursuit to oppose out racism, homophobia, etc., many people tend to forget this, ironically becoming the mirror image of those they oppose. Do not do battle with monsters, lest ye become a monster.
