Yep, she was the ditzy waitress in Mad About You - also called Ursula Buffay http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mad_About_You#Regular_guests

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_recurring_characters_in_Friends#Ursula_Buffay
    Ursula Buffay

Ursula Pamela Buffay (Lisa Kudrow)—Phoebe's identical twin. Kudrow originated the role of Ursula in the sitcom Mad About You, playing her as an inept waitress at Riff's who frequently forgets orders.[m 1] She first appears in Friends in "The One with Two Parts":[e 31] Chandler and Joey are eating at Riff's and mistake Ursula for Phoebe. Joey becomes attracted to Ursula and they start dating. Ursula tells Phoebe that she is bored with Joey, so Phoebe pretends to be her sister to let Joey down gently. In the same episode, Helen Hunt and Leila Kenzle cameo as their Mad About You characters Jamie Buchman and Fran Devanow, in a scene where they mistake Phoebe for Ursula in Central Perk. Ursula next appears briefly in "The One with the Jam",[e 45] where she is being stalked by a man (David Arquette) who mistakes Phoebe for her. In "The One with the Jellyfish"[e 46] Phoebe tells Ursula that she has met their birth mother, but Ursula already knows about her. In "The One Where Chandler Can't Cry",[e 47] Phoebe starts getting unwanted attention from men, and discovers that Ursula is starring in pornographic films using Phoebe's name. Phoebe gets revenge by claiming Ursula's fees and embarrassing her many male fans. Flashbacks in "The One Where They All Turn Thirty"[e 48] reveal that Ursula sold Phoebe's birth certificate to a Swedish runaway, and that both sisters are 31, not 30. In "The One with the Halloween Party",[e 49] Ursula introduces Phoebe to Eric (Sean Penn), her fiancé. Phoebe is horrified that Ursula has told Eric that she is a teacher, a member of the Peace Corps, a non-smoker, and attends a church group (all lies). The series finale of Mad About You, set 22 years into the future, reveals that after a successful porn career, Ursula becomes Governor of New York.[m 2]

You could kinda do that with anything though - e.g. when people are like "omg, underground is the ONLY word that starts and ends with und!". Like, fridge is the only word that begins with fri and ends with dge...:pac: The one that always got me is that EVERY word has a vowel pretty much, except for sky.

Also, an obvious realization: your username is pronounced like sarcasm. :o

I just realised that even when people on Boards totally miss the point, people will still thank them for their quote out of neediness

    Ditto with "alot". Ick.

(I've just realised how people quote other people!)

This is for everyone who hates "alot"

Not sure if totally obvious, but the phrase "fanny adams" was actually a real person! I had no idea, and no idea of the history of the phrase either-

SPOILERED. IT'S A BIT GRUESOME AND MAY NOT BE SUITABLE READING FOR SOME:

    From here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanny_Adams

In 1869 new rations of tinned mutton were introduced for British seamen. They were unimpressed by it, and decided it must be the butchered remains of Fanny Adams. The way her body had been strewn over a wide area presumably encouraged speculation that parts of her had been found at the Royal Navy victualling yard in Deptford, which was a large facility which included stores, a bakery and an abattoir.

"Fanny Adams" became slang for mutton[6] or stew and then for anything worthless – from which comes the current use of "sweet Fanny Adams" (or just "sweet F.A.") to mean "nothing at all". It can be seen as a euphemism for "**** all" – which means the same.

That creme eggs actually look like soft boiled eggs inside. Honestly did not even give them a second thought until I saw a poster for them last week.

Also that the subway is named so because it's "sub" the "way".

'sub' the 'way'...what on earth does that mean? I thought it was because they started the business selling at the Subway stations

Edit: I just realised you mean the train, I was referring to the sandwiches (which I was wrong about)...off to google for me :D

Probably not a really obvious one but I only figured out that Emily Deschanel (the main actress in the TV show Bones) is Zooey Deschanels sister.
The surname really should've gave it away!

I thought it was the rolls were called submarines or something?

I still don't get the "sub the Way" reference :o

It is if you're a stamp collector looking at your collection:p

I always though there was only 1 thanksgiving, same as we have 1 christmas

    For fans of Arrested Development....

A full year after watching all 3 series it just struck me one day that when the narrator talks about "George Michael and his cousin Maeby" that Maeby is a play on maybe, as in the actual blood relationship between the two is questionable.

I love that show. So many jokes I only picked up on second viewing.

I just realised that the phrase "strike while the iron is hot", refers to using a weapon that's just been made by the blacksmith (ie, the iron is still hot). I never really put any thought into it and just assumed that it referred to an electric iron...why you'd want to strike someone with an iron right after pressing your clothes never crossed my mind. :o
