Drop a module?

Hi there, I'm currently doing a FETAC Level 5 PLC course. I'm enjoying the course and have been getting distinctions in all my work thus far except for one module. Due to illness, I missed a lot of classes in this Module, and given that it's portfolio based, I'm finding it hard to catch up. I'm now afraid that I will fail…

Hi there,

I'm currently doing a FETAC Level 5 PLC course. I'm enjoying the course and have been getting distinctions in all my work thus far except for one module. Due to illness, I missed a lot of classes in this Module, and given that it's portfolio based, I'm finding it hard to catch up.

I'm now afraid that I will fail this module and fail the course overall as a result.

Is it possible to drop one module and still attain a qualification?

In order to get your certificate you will need 8 modules including work experience and communications. I am afraid there is no way round this. All you can do is work with your tutor to catch up on the module.
