spotify problem

    Anybody got any ideas??

    I installed spotify on my Ubuntu 12.10 box, but when no joy when I try to fire it up, I get

    Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
    Cannot connect to server request channel
    jack server is not running or cannot be started
    17:06:20.490 I [breakpad.cpp:106 ] Registered Breakpad for product: spotify

    17:06:20.493 I [translate.cpp:133 ] Reloading language file
    17:06:20.495 I [breakpad.cpp:259 ] Searching for crashdumps: /home/james/.cache/spotify/*.dmp

    If all else fails, I'd give
    rm -rf ~/.cache/spotify
    a try.


    On that note, I installed spotify on Gentoo earlier and x crashed on startup. I'll just stick to cmus, I think. :)
