    The inconsistancy!

Chelsea sink 2-1 to 18th placed Wigan before bouncing back 4-0 at Anfield, to 3rd placed Liverpool with 61% possession.

When you have QPR with 5 shots on target, beating you 4-1 with Cisse scoring them all, it is extremely frustrating, especially when you are at home, completely dominated, and had 13 shots on target.

EDIT: Following game, with 15 shots on target (2 more than last game), I scored 6 vs. Southampton.

FFS having a nice game with Everton, then go to look at championship and its messed up, happened a few times before, something i do with editor i think. what happens is the championship only has about 12 matches in the entire season and if i continued playing the english league comes to a standstill because there is no promotion or relegation as the league never ends(i think because of the playoffs)

I'm not sure what the fix is except for deleting my editor file but i made so many changes noooo

Why don't you just play without messing with the editor?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,296 ✭✭✭EdenHazard

No way josé. First of all, the stats in the game annoy me. Barcelona never excel like in real life with their normal stats so I always edit them to be better, but I also edit loads more stats from different leagues(Juventus, Man City etc.). Then I have to keep the game constantly updated with manager changes/transfers etc.

I edit the game to make it harder for me. Managing in Spain with Atletico is impossible since Barca and Real are just so good, but hey that's realistic and when I win the league it will be sweet

So you constantly start new games?

    Yup

That editor destroys the game. The genie scout I can understand there's nothing worse than investing in a young player who never makes it. However my virus protection won't let me have it on the laptop.

What you mean 'destroys' the game?

I think you answered your own question earlier.

Ah yeah but I mean that was obviously something I did to **** it up rather than an inherent flaw with the editor. I was wondering if the editor ruined the actual mechanics of the game.

I added NY Cosmos to the MLS. Downloaded a file for it but I'm guessing the way I merged the databases fecked up the Championship for some reason.

I couldn't play the game without the editor tbh. For example with some players like Landon Donovan, he's not gonna leave LA Galaxy but in the game, clubs like Chelsea and Barca sign him. So I just put him onto a club called 'MLS' and loan him to the Galaxy for 10 years.

I don't stop to change the game everytime something happens but normally if something big happened, I'd have to use editor to change it.

I don't use the Editor to cheat which when I mention it people presume that's what I mean. I guess I use it to mould the game in the image I see football. It benefits all clubs, not just the one I control. I don't believe Football Manager gets the quality gap between sides, I notice in loads of games clubs like Borussia Dortmund finish with a plus 7 goal difference, when irl they were plus 55 last year

This is the same Donovan who's played for Munich and Everton and was repeatedly linked to permanent moves to Europe?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,296 ✭✭✭EdenHazard

This is the same Donovan who could retire soon enough. He's fallen out of love with football, he doesn't have the drive to go to Europe anymore. Trust me. Also putting him on a club called 'MLS' and loaning him out to Galaxy is more in line with how MLS works irl. MLS owns LD, not Galaxy

I'd have thought one of the best things about the game is everything works out differently. Why bother if you're just going to keep everything exactly the same?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,296 ✭✭✭EdenHazard

Yeah but within reason. :) I like keeping players in the MLS and it also frees up a designated player spot. I do the same with Henry, Angel, Nesta etc.

Four and a half years in and I still havent beaten City in a league game. Getting annoying now, especially as I was 3-1 up and thought I was going to do it, only to draw 3-3

Not entirely the game - but Fergie time, winning 2-1 going into extra time, and utd score 2!!! Gutted

    Cork City.

Cannot beat them no matter how good my team is.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,296 ✭✭✭EdenHazard

Play against them as Barca :)

    Really good players retiring young!

Not having any money to renew contracts, not having any money to sign players, not having any money for wages for free transfers.....not having money full stop.

Chairman has gone from loves the club to "happy to stay at club" so hope we get taken over with someone with some cash

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,160 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

am I the only one who actively tries to keep the wages down? Ive let players go when theyve asked for too much money, even when its well within the pay structure offered at the club. For example, when I was at Harps, My star player wanted 7000 a week, whereas my highest earner was on 3000. I could offer up to 10000 a week but instead sold him and promoted a younger player to the first team squad

I always start out with a wage limit but once you get successful it's hard to stick too it. I lasted about 18 months before going over £100,000 p/w. My top earner is close to £200,000 now.

Yeah I kept to it at the start but as gnfnrhead said, its impossible to keep to once you are successful!

Getting irritated with these random losing streaks, was in top 4 position with Southampton (in 4th season) and then only get 1 point from 8 matches, half way through season now and am mid table.

These Champions League registration rules are a pox. Why cant they be the same as England? Semi Final second leg away to Real Madrid and my bench consists of two goalkeepers and a striker due to unregistered, injury and suspension. Do it the same as England and I'm only missing four players from my whole squad!
