Getting Plastering Papers

Hello,
I'm trying to apply for residence in Australia, but without the proper papers its seems no way of getting it.
I've a question I was hoping somebody could answer for me.
I heard a rumour, don't know if it's true, but if you can prove that you have been working for more than 5 years at the same trade you can legally get papers.
I hope this is true.

As far as i know you will not get papers as you are not qualified in that trade but it may help with the points system if you can prove you were working,

Your best bet is check the australian embassy website.

Some countries, and I think Oz is one, have schemes whereby apprenticeships can be shortened if you can prove that you already have work experience / skills. Sometimes it's called "recognition of prior learning" or similar words. Never heard of it here, though.

i can only advise on the situation in Belfast.
you can go via the fast track route - QUF839(plastering) EXPERIENCED WORKER PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT (EWPA)

this will only get you an NVQ Level 2 which is pretty useless and will NOT get you into AUS.

had a look at the link for gold trowel , £2500 for a 4-8 week course and the NVQ Level 3
if you can be more or less assured you get the Level 3 then that's a very good price.

so be careful , if you go through a UK centre then make sure its NVQ Level 3 as the Level 2 is no good to you.

You can't get papers unless you did your time in FAS ...........you get a few point for it though not a lot though
