Old tyres - how to sell/get shot of them

    Howdy...

    I kept 2 used tyres that I had on my Qashqai, that would be perfect as replacements for the back tyres. I've since sold the Qashqai but still have those tyres.

    Anybody know are they worth anything to anybody/how best to get rid of them. Saw posts about giving them to farmers but don't know any farmers near D16.

    Does Dublin waste still do free ads for stuff to take away?

    Could try putting them on donedeal for a small price or even for the cost of the ad for someone to take them away.

    All depends how much thread is left

    If they're in decent enough nick stick them up on adverts.ie or donedeal.ie is your best bet

    Alternatively, try one of those part-worn sellers and see if they will give you anything for them

    Your county council should have an amenity centre, either FOC, or a nominal sum of €2 per car load (as it is in Mullingar).

    For €2, you can get rid of a full car load including all those tyres, oil, car batteries, TV's, fridges and anything that would normally go into the recycling bins.

    In coolmine they take used oil and oil filters for free.

    At some point i had 8 well used tires, gave them away for free through adverts.ie , it took around 4 months to get rid of them :D

    garages want 5 euro for each tire to get disposed properly.

    you may use jumbletown.ie also to give away for free.
