    Eh don't you 'new map' me!! I'm building away there in Carlow. I doubt a new map will bring anyone to play more.

    We should have an event day. Same day every week at a certain time we stick up a game map (DVZ, hunger games, the wall ... w/e) give US all something to look forward to. Still waiting for my new harddrive so I'm w/o my computer until then.

    Let's have the best of both worlds.

    Get this: A Hunger Games world where kills earn you money, then an ultra hard survival map where you can spend the money.

    Also, Dinosaurs for some reason. Is there a map generator that generates little resources? That would be interesting.

    This is one of the ideas I was playing around with in my head, but I don't know how it would actually go down.

    Basically the idea would be to have diamonds not spawn naturally at all. The only way to get them would be in dungeon/mineshaft/village chests, or as prizes during events. This would hopefully have a few effects:

    -Stop the pros strip mining everything at the start.
    -Encourage people to participate in events.
    -Make PvP a lot more balanced. Enchanting tables, full sets of diamond armour, etc. would be almost impossible to come by. Everyone would be decked out in iron gear, with some having one piece of enchanted or diamond stuff.

    I honestly think, if it were at all possible, we should make everything harder.
    Make diamonds rare as you said, but also make iron slightly rarer (and maybe even coal) same goes with the other ores. Mobs do twice damage as how it is now, once u get iron gear, they arent much of a threat.
    Anything to make it harder would be great, and not just slightly harder but a fair amount.
    Only thing is, I'm not sure if any of this is possible.

    Can the server support multiple worlds? If it can could we have a factions world as well, and people could hop between, keep everyone happy? I know a few people who said they stopped playing when factions stopped, and if it wasn't the only world to play people wouldn't take it to heart as much when they got raided, beaten, etc...

    I was thinking multiple worlds but hardcore survival and FTB (if possible at all), with a Hunger Games world in between the worlds :P

    I like the ideas of "ULTRA SOUPAR HARD!" to force co-operation and so on. Build a "safe zone" that mobs won't spawn in (just with enough light to keep them out, not via some sort of plug-in protection). I'd also suggest a themed town or something like that - who remembers Greek Town? That place looked great.

    is there any way, using portals/those snazzy glowstone portals that everyone could have what they wanted? I know file sizes would be much bigger but having a survival area, a hardmode area?, some sort of pvp mental mod raining death part? you could even throw in a creative section with a kit or something, you know? to keep the wee ones happy ;)
