yes he's made mistakes - that mainly comes from having to take chances on players as hasn't had the funds to compete for the best players.

That's just a tad disingenuous don't you think. young players need to be brought in for one thing and for another Wenger has brought in plenty of established experienced players with his recent dealings.

fair points, i'm just sore that we are unable to compete wage-wise for top talent because we have half a teams worth of non-playing mediocre players on 2.5m salaries a year.

I understand your frustration, but in the Ba situation no amount of clearing out our dead weight wages would help us land him. Let's say we were willing to offer him 80k, Chelsea would offer 100k. We sell some players, up our bid to 120k, Chelsea offer 150k. We break the bank and offer 160k, Chelsea offer 200k without breaking a sweat. Once a team with (more or less) unlimited funds is in for the same player as us there is no point trying to compete in terms of money.

Is Ba replacing Sturridge or someone else? Will there be a "cheapie" going that we might buy?

I seriously doubt it unless Wenger has some lad on the radar from France or something again, but do we really need a CF? If say Walcott stays and Wenger as appears sees that as his strongest position?

Not if things stay as they are. We need a left back and a new tall and strong midfielder for the sloggy games.

And Sean Wright-Phillips. Real Madrid used to snap up players Wenger was after too. And people wonder why he tries to keep transfer dealings super quiet.

We were linked with Felaini a while back. How I'd love to ad him to our team. He'd be perfect. Probably too expensive though.

I reckon Everton would want close to £20m for Fellaini. He'd be worth it but I cant see us spending that much on one player. United, at least, would probably also be in if he became available.

Didn't Everton pay £15million for Felaini? If so, i'd say they'd be looking for more than 20 for him.

Apparently wenger asked about fellaini at the same time as Arteta and was told he'd cost 30 mil

Well you might not have heard of him but Bury’s Tom Soares set Twitter all a flutter tonight as he tweeted to Zaha
All the best at #afc @wilfriedzaha this kid will boss it with arsenal
    Tom-Soares-TomSoares8-on-Twitter.png

It seemed that people might not have believed him or thought he was stirring up trouble as 20 minutes later he tweeted
I might be a tinpot footballer but i don’t bull****
    Tom-Soares-TomSoares8-on-Twitter1.png

Tom Soares came through Crystal Palace’s youth system overlapping with Zaha for one year in the youth team before Soares moved to the first team in 2003 and he remained at the club until 2008.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace’s Zaha for a few months now and while it seemed as if Palace would try to hold on to the player in order to secure promotion experts widely speculated that both a strong bid and a request from the player to leave would see him allowed to go.

Zaha is a self-confessed Arsenal fan and many hoped that when it did come to the time that the player would leave this would swing the decision in Arsenal’s favour. Speaking to the Daily Mail this weekend, Zaha said
‘I’m not a teenager any more. I’ve played more than 100 first-team games and this year is crucial to develop my football career. I want to establish myself in the Premier League and in international football.
‘I’ve played a lot in the Championship so having that new challenge in the Premier League, where everyone wants to be, would be great. To be honest, if I had the chance in January and Palace agreed, it’s something I’d want to go for.’
Of course, nothing is official at this point and it’s up to you how much you wish to believe Tom Soares

    From the Ladyarse!

He plays for Bury, and apparently his 1st tweet was back in 2011 so the account isn't recent.
Also as someone on twitter already said, who would create a fake account of a lad that plays for Bury. Still don't know if his information is correct though.

People also saying that David Villa wants to join us. :D We can dream.

Cheers for that, yeh Ive read his quotes about being ready for the EPL over the weekend and hopefully that Tom Soares fella is telling the truth even is if he is cauing a **** storm by leaking a transfer.

If and its a big if Walcott signs a new contract, along with the OX, Gnabry and if we signed Zaha that could make front three than in a year or two maybe less that would/could scare the living hell out of any defence in terms of skill and pace and being an Arsenal fan the thoughts of a front three containing them makes me smile like a kid at Christmas:o, along with Giroud and Podolski for options and strength in depth, with Wilshere and Cazorla playing just behind thats frightening prospect. A lot of ifs in there though :pac:.

I'd believe these guys before I'd believe anything in the newspapers.

Gunnerblog claims Djourou will depart in January, while GeoffArsenal also reckons Walcott will be offered a deal that, by my reckoning, would be at a very minimum £130,000 a week.

I'd like to see Giroud and Walcott playing together up front. Match made in heaven I reckon.

Would actually love to see us play a 442 again though i reckon we'd someone as good as alonso for it to work.

As for Nani, considering Gervinho gets game time i can't see how nani wouldn't improve the squad, though i reckon his wages would be considerably higher than our cap so can't see it happening.

Walcott must be giving a contract, he's our most dangerous player no doubt, id give him a contract up to 120k. It really is small change in todays market.

There is a fake Soares account, it popped up last year when he was supposedly coming to us, which never materialised.

Seems we're the least happy with our ownership in the league:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056842938

Wont come as a shock to anyone here, but I didnt think it would have been so few people who were happy. Expected about 60-40 rather than the 82-18 it is.

Hopefully the board hear about it and finally try to do something useful.

Obviously not a large sample size used for that part of the chart seeing as how many clubs have 100% good etc.
