Ba seemed quite palsy with some of the lads at the end didn't he? Did I see someone say, "see you next week"?

Also kissed the pitch twice! (probably does it everywhere)

We definitely need some major surgery on our defence. Better teams will murder us if we defend like that.

There was poor covering on the right side i felt. Sagna was under pressure all night as Cazorla and Ox were poor with little work rate and Gibbs was caught ball watching for two of the goals. Was nearly hoping Giroud might get his hattrick also.

I am guessing by his celebrations that there was an arrival to the Giroud house during Christmas so it would be nice to have got another in the form of a football :)

Anyone know what would happen if two of them got hat tricks?

Would we have conceded so easily if Mert was fit ye reckon?

Think sagna should be dropped for a couple of games give Jenks a chance

Maybe for the 2nd as there wouldn't have been that glance off Kos's leg but for the 1st and 2nd there wouldn't be much of a difference i reckon.

Was hoping Giroud would get his 3rd too. Great player.
Have been watching Gibbs closely for a few years now and he's not the best tbh. Gets caught out a lot up the pitch too with his final ball being poor and he out of position for the counter attack. We need to fix that. Kos was poor for their 2nd too.

RTE always start with the earlier games and not the later game

League leaders, they have to go first.... :pac:

Yes, so I'm not sure why you're getting upset over it. A somewhat dull United 1-0 victory will get the nod ahead of a better and more entertaining game(s). Been like that for years.

Maybe I'm just too used to it :)

Bloody auld Cup game next week to break up our good run. I'd prefer if we had a league match.

I was concerned that maybe not playing on Stephens day would kill our momentum in the short term and maybe cause a pile up during January especially if we only draw the cup game.

I thought the thinking might have been too short term on the clubs part. Would it be more financially better for example to gamble, strike while the iron is hot and play the game and it could put us in a stronger position in terms of CL qualification rather than playing at a later day for the sake of making up the gate receipts?

I do realise the tube closure may have made it a logistical nightmare but in fairness other london clubs didnt cancel and not every city in England such as Liverpool for example has a subway so how do they manage?

Ask someone on your thread to do it, that's how it usually works. Followed by any for Liverpool getting closed.

They should show the most entertaining games as their main match. There were plenty of high-scoring games earlier too. United's was probably the dullest game of the day.

I couldnt altogether blame Sagna but i feel he looks heavy legged and Jenks wasnt playing too bad before Sagna came back in all honesty

Coq & Ramsey on at 4-3 would most certainly have been suicide today :D

of course, the game was far more open than the Wigan one and we were creating more today, couldn't create anything v wigan.

I think wenger got both shouts right.

Which for 7.5million a year he should be getting them right :D

Were any other matches in London derbies? When fans are coming from another city they're less likely to be using public transport when they reach the host city, it's usually chartered buses and the like. For traveling within the city they'll more likely use local transport.

Gibbs getting flack and some deserved but I blame wilshere for that back post goal not Gibbs
Wilshere was the cause of two goals today

Final Score on BBC barely went to it all day. Granted it was a busy day but there was little activity to report on from Man United.

Whatever about been shown later to please the United fans as in fairness there is alot of them but for City to be shown instead of us is disgusting altogether. I somehow doubt RTE even knew there was another club in Manchester while City were 2-0 down to Gillingham in 1999 in the old second division playoff final (now league 1) with minutes left

Ah im kinda used to it all honesty Arsenal have always been low on RTE's list of priorities and that includes when we were winning league titles.

It will always be United first regardless of who there playing or what scoreline the match stupid I agree but thats RTE in general for ya anyway.

    They should but they won't.

Heck, even when United weren't doing well in the league a little over half a dozen years ago, they were usually first on the box (MOTD, RTE or whatever). Gotta cater for their main audience which is United fans.

Fulham v QPR but to be fair they are quite near each other in West London. No other in the championship that day. Anything else wouldnt have caused a stir in that regard

Screw it, give Walcott whatever he wants. £100,000 isnt it? Just give it to him, he's been class this season.

Hell even give him £80,000 and the rest in the makey up clauses so nobody complains.

One of the best hat-tricks I've seen in a long time tbh. Superb touches. Henry would be proud to call it is own. Hope both parties can come to a solution. If he leaves then i will really worry about the state of AFC going forward. Their policy would be far too stringent to be a club that wins trophies and to expect anything better then 4th place at best after letting yet another big name go then we as fans would be being unreasonable. Wenger would be doing an impossible job at that stage. Low expectations from the idiot board yet sky is the limit from the fickle fans.
