    Hi,

So I have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro and it came with 4GB's of RAM (2x2GB).
I upgraded it to 8GB and and the 4GB's that came with it is now surplus to requirements.

I'm looking to sell that 4GB's and I'm wondering if it will work in older computers or only new ones?

    Thanks

With the DRAM still installed, click on the blue apple icon (top left) and select "About This Mac" or similar. Click on "More Info."
In the list that appears, click on "Memory".

Now you'll be able to copy down the specification, which will look something like "2GB SDRAM PC133-456". That information, plus a good, clear photo of it, will enable you to offer it for sale and the prospective buyer to check whether it's compatible.
