What players? Apart from Johnson, Skrtel, Suarez and Lucas at a push, who'd get into the Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United or Man City teams?

The squad is mid-table/top 8 at best, its as simple as that.
Agger gerard sterling would probably got into arsenal and spurs, didn't city want Agger?

A fair few things annoyed me tonight and I'd be here for a bit talking through them but for the fact I can't be bothered two things, 3 mins between the moment we scored and their equaliser and Shelvey pissed me off greatly.

    UGH!

Gerrard, Reina, Enrique (they way he is playing at the minute), Sterling.

Gerrard, no. He played well against Fulham, I'll give him that, but anyone could have played well that day.

    Reina, fair enough.

Enrique, I have my doubts to be honest, I always expect him to lose the ball going forward.

    Sterling, faded dramatically recently.

I don't know what is worse.

Rivals slagging off this shït or our own supporters defending it.

Rodgers is fooked and he is starting to realise it imo.

Sooner the better for all concerned that he and the current owners move the fück on.

Sweet, yeah. Then if the new guys don't bring us the title within 18 months we should get rid of those losers too...jeez, calm down. The guy is only in the door!

I've said this before but I do not want our to become one of those clubs that is constantly changing manager. Some people need a serious reality check. People seem to think that we could have just gone out and gotten a Guardiola of a mourinho just by clicking our fingers.

Would all the stoke players got onto citys team?no they wouldn't so using that comparison is pointless.

If anything thats an understatement. Young lad with potential, so while it might not be fair to hold him to the same standards as others in the team as yet, he has been absolutely rubbish for a while now.

We became that type of club a few years ago.

Re: Guardiola/Mourinho, no one thinks we could have gotten them, but we should have been aiming a hell of a lot higher than Rodgers.

I'm just trying to make the point that our squad isn't good enough.

Because he has been hideously mismanaged.

Yes but you're sayin because you have no player
Who would get into top teams, somehow excuses loosing to villa and stoke.

It doesn't take a team of top players to make a team work together, take stoke as a prime example.

    Good enough to what?

Look at the squads & first 11's outperforming us this season. Our squad is a hell of a lot better than Rodgers has gotten out of it.

After six months in charge I don't see what Rogers is trying to do! He keeps saying the same things in interviews but its not showing on the pitch. His tactics have been hopeless at times along with his subs bench and choices. How Shelvey hasn't been dragged off the pitch on a number of occasions is baffling.

For a start, the squads who have been outperforming us have more than one striker.

I've no faith left. I didn't even make it past the first part of that long interview he gave last week before turning it off. He was asked a few questions which he completely bull****ted or sidestepped. I fully admit now I think I was wrong about him and I now think he's a complete bull****ter. I don't like him, results are awful and I just don't think he's not up to the job. We can talk all day about the changing philosophy and how long it takes but he shows no tactical acumen to make me believe. Even the substitutions of Allen and Sterling last week were very strange. The results are disgraceful for the players at his disposal.

    Opr

I think you may feel differently in the morning. I commented on that interview a couple of days ago also saying that he talks alot without saying much. This result tonight is so run of the mill for us at this stage i can't see how anybody would be the least bit surprised by it.
We didn't realise how spoilt we were during Rafa's era and many even turned against him, our club has been on a steady decline both on and off the pitch for twenty years now. Blaming it all on Rodger's and the current owners is a little naive to say the least. Also to suggest that a change of manager or owner at this point will get us back to where we wanna be any faster or indeed give us a guarantee of challenging is short sighted imo.

A team with Reina, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson, Lucas, Gerrard and Suarez should be in a better position than we are. Simple as that.

We are conceding more and scoring less than last season.
    The football isn't better either.
9 points worse off than at this stage last season

Honestly we could a lot worse than having a player like Jon Walters partner Luis up front. He can score goals he is not light weight and won't be bullied. He is just the type of player our light weight front line needs.

Everyone new how Stoke were going to play. Everyone new how we were going to play. There was only going to be one winner with those styles of play.

We have plan A. After that there are no other plans, No plan B or C or D. Just play Plan A.

Nothing else needs to be said.

And those that scoffed at the likes of Llyod for essentially predicting this should be man enough to hold their hands up, apologise & say they were totally wrong.

shane long? and i agree we have no other plan but watching liverpool this season is boring we are so predictable, too many needless short passes at the back and then if we lost possession we look like we will concede every time.

The decision to loan Andy Carroll out actually eclipses the stupidity of the one to pay so much for him in the retardation stakes. At least the later decision was one of ambition.

Now that Shane can't get in the West Brom team of late maybe he'd consider a step down.

Haha. Who exactly would Gerrard displace in the tottenham team in the form he has been in for the last two years or so. Oh and how long does a player have to be performing terribly before we say he is a bad player now and it's not just form? Oh tottenham also have better keepers than Reina on their bench! Enrique imo would only get into the tottenham team now because Ekotto is injured. Sterling instead of Bale is it??

Surely there has to be some Belgians out there to save Liverpool Football Club!

    Enough with this British 'talent'.

Skrtel falls over too much. He has cost us quite a few points this season to be fair, anyone else notice this or is it just me?. Agger on the other hand might get a game for them.
