Hi there , have a problem , moved into new house with cat5e points in a number of rooms with sockets on wall , all connections terminate back in utility room cupboard at a patch panel . I have WiMAX and Zyxel router , problem is when I run a cat5 cable from LAN port to patch panel port ( to power up socket in bedroom for example)it doesn't work ! What am I missing? I have tried them all and no joy , do I need anything else to make this work? Ps don't need all rooms to work just one or two so I don't think I need a switch as there are 4 ports on router , many thanks in advance

    Mark
