You of course mean 'half of what he said would be a great chance for the fans to get a say in the club'.

The money will still be there, just by investors.

Poor show from the fans, no?

Understandable though, how many people would be able to stump up £500 right before Christmas ?

Don't forget, AIM allows you to buy shares all the time, so I'm sure people will keep buying shares at a steady pace, including me once I can afford it.

    Ok then

Do you not think that's quite worrying? Investors will be demanding a return, they have no emotional tie to the club.
Murray overspent to bring success, these investors will underspend to get their money back and then a return on it.

Don't worry lubo, I'm sure this has absolutely no impact on you or your club, believe it or not.

edit: Believe it or not, I'm not worried about it.

The only thing that this means is that fans won't have the influence in the club they wanted, but I never believed that would happen in the first place.

So Rangers fans suddenly have a grasp of basic economics. Nowhere to be seen when they were comparing their attendances with a team whose tickets cost twice as much and were playing in 4 competitions including Europe

You don't need to reply btw, I'll save you the trouble. I'm obsessed/jealous/etc

You seem upset about something :D

If you don't like how Rangers fans act or respond, you know what to do.

2-0 Little after a shocking decision from the ref who looks like a rabbit caught in a spotlight. Gave a penalty and sent Wallace off for defending and Alexander saved it

3-0 Templeton another belter from the edge of the box

Is that why they had to call the riot police to Ibrox?

£5 million from the bestest fans ever...oh dear :) In today's money only £17 off what we raised as fans and not even half of what we raised as fans as well six years ago. The People, indeed whosthechampionsnowscum.gif

    whats this?

As far as i can tell - and I was working tonight so didnt see the game - there were no "riot police", however a section of BF1 had a bit of a run in with the Police during the game.
As far as I can surmise it's probably because the Green brigade had got more attention in recent weeks.
    ****.

What I heard is that some kid went up to the concourse, and he wasn't back after a while. A few of his mates went up to see where he was and apparently police were harassing him, an argument ensued and this was apparently a reason to get heavy handed.

Police in Scottish football grounds seem to be getting far too big for their boots.
Odd to see such a difference with English police at football.

Really all I see is a post giving information.
For someone convinced we are a new club with no history you really do hate it when things like that are put up. In fact that post coupled with your reply seems to make you feel angry

    You read me completely wrong.

You are a new club, it's indisputable.

Newco Rangers rose from the ashes of Rangers. You bought your history, you were admitted into SFL (not relegated as would have been case if you were RFC) you were unseeded in cup competitions (had you been RFC you would have been seeded) and players were allowed to leave as their contracts with RFC no longer existed.

But you won't be buying shares direct from club, you'll be buying them from other 'investors' selling them so none if your money will be going to Rangers.

Is there any way of verifying the £22m raised?

Pity you keep missing an indisputable point our share was transferred to the third division it was not a new share. Bobby you can moan all you like we are recognised as the same footballing entity. Now you can keep this tirade up it doesn't bother me but I won't be wasting anyone time on it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

So all institutions which matter say it's still the same club.

But no, bobby claims different :D

Totally different from the version I am hearing the police tried to arrest a couple of boys/men for singing super Rangers and the UB being the idiots they were decided to confront them. Now these people have already fell foul of the authorities at Ibrox with the whole we are above the rules nonsense so I don't have zany sympathy. It must be bad because there is a lot of friction between the UB and the TBO

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

The only reason why they have problems with police is because the cops don't like it when people stand and create an atmosphere, the same reason why the GB get a lot of attention and bother.

I see absolutely no problem with the UB confronting police, should they just stand by and let it happen then ?

    From gersnet:
via email: "ST In BF1 and UB member. Police grabbed a guy and tried to arrest him, few boys went to investigate and ask why, they suddenly stormed us all and that was when we decided to all walk out and they just started lashing out at anyone who was within range. A video floating around of police tackling a young boy to the ground and few others getting hits in on him."

    From gersnet:
Sorry mate that's to easy. The UB and TBO have kept going against the clubs wishes with regards to certain songs, crowd surfing refusing to follow instructions regarding there behaviour also both groups are so far up their own backsides its not true. They have no right go confront police when they are going their lawful business. Then they have the cheek to moan because the club refused to move them again. I think they help the atmosphere to an extent but when they start thinking 1 they are better than us mere mortal fans and 2 they can do what they like to the detriment of the club. Then honestly they can feck off

Understand that but you must sit down at an all seater stadium. MAn Utd are notorious for getting grief for this.

Got sent this - is it a wind up (from some website called Follow Follow apparently). Spoiled for bold language
Some guy went for a piss, and never came back and some people went to see what happened, and some guy was beating a drum, and then there was a big rush after the second goal, and people fell down stairs, wee boys were crying and everything, then the cops waded in and started bashing everyone, then the UB realised the guy who had been for a piss never came back, but the cops wouldn't let anyone out, or in, and started bashing everyone.
Then 'Salmonds Stormtoopers' brought round meatwagons, and wouldn't let anyone out, except for one exit, wee boys were crying and everything, and the guy who had been for a pish was being bashed up by the fuzz (who never go after real criminals) but it's ok cause someone got it on camera. The cops here as just as bad as those in NI btw watp, and we should have in house security, I wasn't in the BF1 tonight but that's exactly what happened I can vouch for that but I saw a young child crying, plod probably bashed him up too, kid never even went for a pish. Oh and then the mounted cops attacked everyone, pure heavy handed, I think some of these piggy bastards should 'get sorted oot', it was a war in the Copland the UB walked oot and eveything wee boys were in tears and I could see a guy that fell on the stairs had his ankle trapped, and the piggy bastards started bashing him up for no getting up, feck yer SNP ya fenian bastards. I saw a guy whose 3 year old son got arrested and dragged into a fuzzwagon, greetin his eyes oot the wee soul polis acting like Rambo's spraying CS gas right in the eyes of toddlers. WATP. One copper going round on a horse like she was in braveheart while kids had to run out the way to avoid her aswell as she shouted at folk leaving the other turnstiles to "get back", as boys no more than five had their Union Flags taken off them by the oinky bastards, some of the lads were in a right state. Someone mentioned the cops weren't happy with songs about fenian bastards, but that's a lot of pish. WATP.
Surely this is nonsense but it is hilarious. Arresting a 3 year old and dragging him into a police van  Mounted cops acting like in Braveheart :D

Lot of rubbish you shouldn't believe anything you read on FF unless its been confirmed by at least two other sources and even then I would doubt it. Oh and three year olds can't be arrested
It's also not just about the standing though its the crowd surfing and the dancing that is bringing them grief
