And it finishes 4-2 a goal in the last seconds for young Robbie Crawford. After Montrose had given us a couple of frights hitting the bar and then the post. All credit to them they made a good game of it, that plus our central defense was really atrocious

    When is Goian due back?

    When is Goian due back?

Supposedly he can come back in january, but he can stay where he is if his performances are the same as when he left.
I know his current team are desperate for him to leave, so that says enough.

A big wage we don't need.

Rumours that your share issue is only at 1.6m. If that's true that's shockingly bad.

Wouldn't surprise me if this is a bit of a tactic by Green to boost last minute sales by releasing a rumour that ticket sales are far below expectations in order to guilt trip fans into investing. The target was ridiculously high given the time of year and economic climate, even for a club which claims to have 5 million fans worldwide.

Not shockingly bad, given the fact that investors have already put in a lot of money into the share issue.

But asking normal working people to put up £500 in this time is ridiculous.

    Have they?

    How much?

    Rumoured to be around 17m.

I'll see if I can find anything on that.

    edit: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/charles-green-on-the-backfoot-for-first-time-1493627
He said unsold shares would be quickly gobbled up by his institutional investors, who wanted to plough around £25m into the club but were scaled back to £17m

It is disappointing, but imo understandable.

Even the RST's scheme of buying in shares at £125 a piece is too much for people like me at this time.
But AIM allows the purchase of shares at all times, so I'm sure people will keep buying shares in the long run.

Is this the same or a different share issue that was released in mid October?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

Back then it was the general info of floating the club on AIM, the actual share issue only recently started for the normal fans.

Since when did the peeple loose the right to change their minds depending upon how the issue effects them?

If its good enough for Walter smith and chuck green to completely change their view point on the history thing as and when it suits them, it's good enough for the peeple

You can add opinions on history to debt and share options in their club to the list of thing they walk away from

Since the last post was taken down, I'll post it again without the picture. This quote from Charlie boy was on the follow follow site tonight
CHARLES GREEN, chief executive of Rangers, has this evening released the following statement.

He said: “I am delighted we have been able to fulfil our promise to give fans the opportunity to once again hold shares in the club as that has been our stated aim from the beginning.

“Since the 140th anniversary game, the club has been inundated with best wishes from all over the world and the support that this club has received since I came to Ibrox has been outstanding and humbling for someone who had no previous connection to the club.

“Many fans lost their shareholding in the club previously and, I said from the start, no one person would again have control of Rangers.

"We said the fans would have the chance to be part of the club’s future and they have until 1pm tomorrow when the offer to the public closes.

“Ally McCoist, myself, Walter Smith and the rest of the board are pleased that we have been able to reach this stage in the process and give the fans the opportunity they deserve to own a stake in the club that means so much to them.

“This is a key moment in the rebuilding of Rangers and we are determined to get the club back to where it belongs and also prepare it well for the long-term challenges it will face as a great sporting institution."

    Whoops!

Charles Green - "My consortium bought these titles, we bought the assets, we bought the stadium. We bought them, we paid for them and no-one is taking them."

    http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/205975-european-clubs-body-downgrades-rangers-status-but-recognises-history/

European clubs body downgrades Rangers' status but recognises history

The European Club Association has confirmed that Rangers remain as members of the organisation but that their status has been downgraded following the transfer of ownership.

Following administration and the subsequent transfer of assets to a newco owned by Charles Green’s consortium, Rangers lost their place in the Scottish Premier League and were later admitted to the third tier of the Scottish Football League.

The ECA is the sole independent body recognised by UEFA and FIFA as representing clubs at European level. Ordinary members of the group are required to be playing in their domestic top division and be licensed to play European football.

Rangers do not hold a UEFA club licence as a result of a break in their accounts and, having lost their top-flight status, are no longer ordinary members of the ECA, the organisation confirmed.

"Rangers FC held ordinary membership with the ECA before entering into administration and later into liquidation," an ECA spokesperson confirmed to STV.

"Meanwhile Rangers FC, owned by the Rangers Football Club Plc, transferred all its assets, including its goodwill, to Sevco Ltd (Sevco Ltd later changing its name to the Rangers Football Club Ltd)

"Alike at Scottish FA level, this 'new entity' had to re-apply for membership with ECA as according to Swiss law, membership of an association is neither heritable nor transferable (article 70.3 of the Swiss Civil Code).

"In dealing with these re-application, ECA applied the terms and provisions of our membership policy and statutes.

"According to the prerequisites set out in the membership policy, Rangers FC did not meet the requirements to be granted ordinary membership (top division and European licence).

However, Rangers are permitted to hold associate membership, which holds no voting rights, as they are one of the founder members of the ECA. The organisation considers the club’s history to be continuous regardless of the change of company.

"With regards to associated membership, the membership policy states amongst others that founding members are granted automatic membership," the spokesperson explained.

"Taking into account that the 'new entity' also acquired the goodwill of the 'old entity', it was held by the ECA executive board that the goodwill, taking into account legal and practical arguments, also included the history of the 'old company'.

"Consequently it was concluded that Rangers FC was entitled to associated membership of ECA as considerer to be a founding member."

For somebody as convinced as you are that you're not a new club that post seems very insecure.

Really all I see is a post giving information.
For someone convinced we are a new club with no history you really do hate it when things like that are put up. In fact that post coupled with your reply seems to make you feel angry

£5million raised from share issue, half of what he hoped. Suppose it's successful. Well done bears, you done well

Edit: Or is it £3million?? To say between 3 and 5 million was put in is a bit confusing, 2 million is quite a difference don't you think?

You of course mean 'half of what he said would be a great chance for the fans to get a say in the club'.

The money will still be there, just by investors.
