Jerseys are really starting to look the same colour.

Nice Fields of Athenry. Connacht are defending well so far.

That sea, sorry, pitch is terrible, will they play the full game in them conditions ?

Biarritz are clearly going for the off the ball stuff.

I'd imagine the groundsmen will be out in full force at half time pushing the water off....

This has to be called off. Visible puddles forming on the field. Lethal

Sky can dictate that Munster have to change their jersey for a game but everyone seems happy to allow this game go ahead with floods of water on the field. If a player is buried face down at the bottom of a ruck or collapsed scrum it could be dangerous.

Balshaw was tackled and the ballboy was absolutely drenched. From the way he flinched you could tell he never played Junior B hurling :pac:

Unreal. The splash from the tackle was ridiculous.

You could see McCarthy getting raked in a maul there. Ball wasn't even in this possession. He had pushed it back on the ground!

This is a glorious advert for HD.

The pitch truly is atrocious. Don't know how they're holding on to the ball at all.

To be fair to both sides the handling has been very good.

Splash from balshaw is after drenching the whole far stand.

This is dangerous. If they get to 60 mins then the result counts. If Connacht can keep it tight and pull level by then...

    Stayed in to watch it.

No point in going to the pub to watch a game that is going to be called off at half time.

    Feck, good try there.

    That's a nice try.

Parks caught in no-mans land for the try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 103 ✭✭iwasonbwh

    I'm afraid that was Parks

    Yeah, nice try.
    Feck it.

Very slick back play off the scrum given the toxic conditions.

Ref ignoring a lot of cheap shots from Biarritz after acting the big man early about scuffles.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 751 ✭✭✭lologram

Well Connacht have the standing water to thank for saving a try there

I'm more concerned about him ignoring the dangerous conditions on the field

Am I right in saying that a game can't go ahead with puddles on a field?

I'm not sure I've ever seen a worse pitch condition that that.

Connacht struggling, pitch has actually saved them once or twice! 10 point defecit is big in conditions like this. Connacht need next score.

Yes, but Connacht are losing so it'll probably be played out

What a hit on Traille by McSharry. Traille took it up expecting to run over Parks and McSharry just cut him in two.

That's what I was told on an IRFU reffing course. For fear of players being forced face down in standing water.

Not sure of the specifics, its all down to what the ref thinks isnt it ? Then again this fella doesnt seem like much of an authority on the proper protocol.

The pitch will be in bits after the game.
