Really so none of us have looked for a banner among there fans and could not care less you reckon it must be there. Tell you what even if they do have one I don't care ;)

Just back from being up in Glasgow for the game.

An excellent atmosphere and a great tribute to all the legends in attendance. 49,913 at Ibrox too - fantastic.

The main highlight? Richard Gough addressing the legions from the centre circle, before proclaiming, 'We are the People' :)

Top quality. King Richard knows the score!

    ;)

So what does 'We are the people' actually mean? I have asked loads of times in work and the Rangers fans do not seem to know. Maybe you guys can help?

Originally taken from the bible,Why I am not sure there are many different reasons given

Psalms 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice.

It's because Rangers fans are famous for being much more civilised and intelligent than other football fans, leading to a thoroughly deserved culture of entitlement in Scotland. WATP x

In that case, aren't we all the people then? Are you guys happy bringing religion into football?

Really? Are we gonna start this pish?

There are phrases in all forms of everyday life that stem from biblical terminology, its hardly a big deal is it?

And before anyone starts with the superiority angle, show me a group of supporters who don't in some way proclaim that they are better than the rest, its all part of the tribal mentality of football support.

    'Happy bringing religion into football'

Doesn't your own club celebrate it's catholic roots by not only allowing fans to display big celtic crosses (like the one against Barca), but even putting them on their jerseys ?

It's not worth it mate someone asked a question you give them a straight answer. In fact an answer I have given in here before this. Then starts to spout about religion jeez my grand father talked about this saying and that is all it is now, No big deal but some will try and make a mountain out of a molehill

I guess it was only a matter of time before they got fed up simply talking about us, now they even want to be us!

It hardly annoys me when the the Rangers fans I ask do not know why. I think asking them why they sing it annoys them even more :pac:

    The banner was there btw

Obviously though Sevco fans don't care, that's why they don't have a big strop whenever you point it out.

I actually agree with you but that is exactly what the posts about WATP have been from certain posters.
