What do most people use for power display? Edge 500's?

    Yes.
Is there any problems with Garmin accuaracy?

    How would we know?

They over estimate power on rides that involve freewheeling by 5-6%.

I thought it was you who had mentioned it but couldn't find a link when I searched. Would you recommend an alternative head unit or how important is that over estimation to most people?

Assuming the P2Max changes with the temperature sensor work (jury out) then the P2max is +/- 2% they claim.

Its the Garmin that introduces the *big* inaccuracy

Only you can decide how much that problem means to you.

And before people say "As long as it is consistent in how much its off its okay". Its not consistent.

What alternative head unit? I never researched it as I went SRM again and got a PC7

    Hi Tunney,

Have you got some link that talks about this? Sounds strange that the Garmin would do anything more than report on the numbers transmitted to it by the power meter, in the format you request, be it 5sec or 30sec power averages.
