I recently purchased a bag of crisps which had no best before date or any of that info on it, the area where the info usually goes was completely blank. Should I write a letter to the company about this?? Is it illegal for food companys not to print a best before date on a food product??

They came from a multi-pack and will do you no harm.

I don't believe in expiration dates. It's all just a conspiracy by the big food corporations to increase profits.

send it off to them with a letter complaining & they'll probably send you a box back with a letter apologising

Unlikely unless you mean they'll just send him a cardboard box.

Look closely all over the packet -lots of things don't have the best before date stamped where it's supposed to be. And as the ad on the radio recently......."Best Before is a guideline, Use By is a deadline" :)

I'd send it in just to see what I'd get back.

You could send them a letter kindly informing them of an oversight or printing error to help them avoid any problems in future.

Blackberry & Bison are my favourite, though I am partial to Mustard & Muskrat.

I think a protest march is in order.

It's time people. We can take no more of these big organisations. When is it all going to end? No timescales. And now crisps as well !

Sounds like the shop keeper open a multipack and is selling them individually.

They must have a date. Yes. And you SHOULD complain. This country is full of whingers like those hereabouts .... but they are happy to whinge away here and to their friends but don't complain to the people involved in a way thet gets things changed.

Complaining directly and writing actual letters is the only way to let them know there is something wrong, and to help them change and improve. Good companies are gagging for feedback and love to receive real letters from real people.

Definatly not a multi-pack as they dont come in multipack and you'd know by the size of the bag of crisps. Also it didnt say the usual "Part of a multi-pack,not to be sold separately"

It's going to take you less time to write the letter than it did for you to eat them so yes write, you will probably get a nice hamper of crisps from them.
