Have the ssd at 15gb (startup) & 45gb (storage).

Am running out of space all the time, is there any way of increasing the startup partition without having to format & reinstall?

Disk utility won't let me resize.

Use Time Machine to backup to external volume, create USB install drive, boot from USB, repartition and restore from Time Machine

Tnx. Was hoping I'd be able to do it without a lot of faffing about.

It's only been set up. Will format it tonight & start again.

Use one partition. No point in splitting a partition on your boot drive.

You could back up your storage, nuke the storage partition and resize the boot partition then copy your files back. Although I would only do this with a backup of the startup partition too.

    Don't use partitions.

Ended up nuking it & going again with one partition
