Question about xphome and External Hard drisk??

Hi,
I've recently purchased a Western Digital 80gb external firewire hard disk. I've partitioned the hard disk into 3 drives, roughly about the same size. Is there a way of putiing passwords on these partitioned drives to prevent access to them as I hope to be getting in broadband soon, and am just looking at ways of improving security. I've gone into sharing and security but thats useless on xphome. Is there any other methods or can anyone recommend some software that will do this?

did you get a driver cd with the disk? if so there may be some security tools with it..

no tools on driver cd at first glance, i'll have another look later tonight in the subdirectories but therexs no mention of utilities with any of the documentation

if its formatted NTFS you should be able to encrypt the contents
