Adding aerial input into a room

Basically, what I'm looking to do is put an aerial point in one of the bedrooms.

Currently, we're using an indoor aerial in that room which picks up the Irish Saorview channels perfectly; however you can't receive the UK Freeview channels at all.

There is a roof aerial which has 3 points in 2 rooms (one room has 2 points), none of which are being used as we have Sky in these rooms.

So what I was wondering is, would it be easier to simply plug a coaxial(?) cable into one of the available outputs and bring the cable through the attic into the bedroom and plug it into the TV/STB?

Or would it be easier to add an entirely new point in that room?

Not 100% on all of this stuff, which is probably obvious but any help is appreciated.

How is the roof aerial feed split to the existing 3 TV points? Distribution amp or passive splitter?

Simply run a co-ax cable from where the aerial feed is split to the other TV points to a new TV point in that bedroom.
