Installing Win 7 onto an SSD - help

I currently have Windows 7 32bit professional running on my mechanical harddrive

Since I installed it I have moved twice and lost the Win 7 disc.

I am going to buy an SSD and want to install Win 7 64 bit on it

1. Do I need to buy a new copy of Windows 7 64 bit?

or

2. Can I download the Win 7 64 bit install files from somewhere, put them on a USB drive, and install Windows 7 64 bit on the SSD and use my Windows 7 32 bit cd key?

or

3. Any other alternatives?

Option 2 will work so long as all you changed is the HDD. The 32bit key is fine for either 32 or 64

Excuse my ignorance, can I just copy that file onto a usb key and it will work like a DVD?

No, but the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool is your friend:

TO MAKE A COPY OF YOUR WINDOWS 7 ISO FILE:

Click the Windows START button, and click WINDOWS 7 USB/DVD DOWNLOAD TOOL in the ALL PROGRAMS list to open the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.
In the SOURCE FILE box, type the name and path of your Windows 7 ISO file, or click BROWSE and select the file from the OPEN dialog box. Click NEXT.
Select USB DEVICE to create a copy on a USB flash drive or select DVD disk to create a copy on a DVD disk.
If you are copying the file to a USB flash drive, select your USB device in the drop-down list and click BEGIN COPYING. If you are copying the file up to a DVD, click BEGIN BURNING.

An ISO is an exact copy of a CD in Image format. Copying it to a USB wont work, you have to *Burn* it to the USB Key.
To do this follow these instructionsl
Microsoft USB installer tool.

or

Windows 7 will burn the downloaded ISO file onto a CD
