a couple of buddys of mine are pro mountain guides. They regularly bring groups (of all ages & fitness) up Carantohill & Mt Brandon as well as rock climbing and 'scramble' too (scramble is harder than hill walking & easier than climbing)

pm me for names & numbers

He does rock climbing, mountaineering etc. Winter climbing could be back on the cards this year after a mild winter last year. if you're beyond the stage of needing guidance, he'd be able to point you to the groups in Kerry.

Landers in Tralee, across from Manor West. TK Maxx has the odd find, jackets, base layers etc. In Killarney, O'Sullivans in the town centre, Kerry Outdoor Sports in the Outlet Centre, and if you like the manly stuff, The Army Surplus Store there is like an Aladdin's Cave.
