How to Automate something

Ok so here is what I want to do Create/Write a script/automator file/?????/whatever that will once a week copy files from my windows partition desktop to a back up folder in my mac partition - which in turn will be backed up by TimeMachine whenever I do TimeMachine. What is the best way to achieve this ???

I would use automater. You can save your script as an app and have it run as at startup (add to login items for your account in settings).

I would google to learn how to right the script itself, not too savy myself.
