My website is hosted by a commercial server. I use WordPress, as supplied by the server to administer the site. Recently visitors to the site have been receiving messages from their a/virus programs warning that the site is infected by "Exploit Blackhole Exploit kit type 2343". I have asked the server to take down the site until the issue is resolved. Has anyone any information on this and I'm wondering is it my problem or should the server provide protection from such attacks. I can use WordPress to administer the site but otherwise I'm clueless in these matters. Any views or observations would be appreciated.

You are more them likely either running an old version of WordPress and/or a plugin that is badly coded and has was exploited or you set a weak password.
