I might be imagining things but I'm sure there used to be an option in Advanced Search to look in sub-forums as well as the selected forum? Was this removed for some reason and will it ever be back?

    Nein, you're not imagining things.

It was removed a good while ago with the first set of search-specific design updates afair. Having had a bit of a think about it there's probably no harm putting it back in.

I'll hopefully be able take a look at it some stage tomorrow.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
