Internal Insulation questions

    Hi All,
    I've started a new build & I'm planning to have 70mm insulated slabs on the inside of a 150mm bead filled cavity wall (build is to be airtight with HRV). does anyone know of any issues with this type of construction condensation issues, issues fixing items to walls etc? I'd love to hear some feedback from anyone who has tried this wall buildup before.

    Without doing some condensation risk analysis I couldn't say for definite, but It wouldn't be my first choice of construction. Enlarge the cavity and get rid of the dry lining would be a better solution, if correctly detailed.

    You will need to provide a plaster scratch coat to the wall prior to applying the dry lining for air tightness purposes.

    Agree 100%. Ditch the dry lining as the return on investment is very poor, you lose thermal mass in the house and you do run the risk of condenstion forming on the blockwork. Extend the cavity if possible.
