    Hey everyone,

We have just announced the shortlist for Engineering Project of the Year 2012.

There are seven entries this year, from five communities - Aran Islands, 2 x Antrim, 2 x Dublin, Galway and Tipperary.

The winner is decided by public vote.

This year we have produced short videos on each project to give more substance to the entries.

Voting will close at midnight on the 8th November.

Would appreciate your support in sharing this.

    Cheers.

The shortlist seems to favour civil just a little over the other eng disciplines...

Maybe there were no other entries?

This shows a more diverse list of entries (different competition)

Yep, all engineering disciplines are invited to enter into the public choice award but the entries seem to reflect work in communities which often attracts more civil based projects.

We also have a Technology award (new category) and Environmental Infrastructure award which may have diluted entries into the public choice award. These projects are currently with our judging panel but are not subject to a public vote.
