UCD Open Evening

    Hi all,
    Was just wondering what people thought of these, if there's anyone here that went to them. Are they worth going to or is the same sort of stuff covered at the open day? There are four of them that I'm interested in going to (Science, Computer Science, Physics and Maths) but they're all on on Tuesdays and I have an applied maths class every Tuesday that I don't want to miss. So what do you think? Would it be worth giving up a few classes to go to them or would I be able to get the same information at the open day?

    I went to the Maths open evening a few years back. I didn't learn much new from it but it was interesting. They gave talks on Applied and Computational Maths, Maths, Meteorology and BAFS. Also you get to meet some of the staff from those areas.

    If you're really interested in going to those, you could skip your classes and I can give you grinds to cover what you've missed. :P

    Thanks, I'll probably just end up going to the maths one, that's the one I'm most interested in anyway. So, I should be able to catch up on what I missed then. Thanks for the offer though :)
