Yellow Hen, im so jealous i love NYC you will have a great time, hopefully the adrenalin and buzz of NY will take over and you wont be too exhausted. We're getting married over there paddys weekend 2014. Going to try get a trip offer before the end of next year to organise it all.
I was like you lilbe the second and third month i ate complete and under crap and actually began to crave salads in the last two weeks because of all the crap i ate but i haven't gained a lb since i got pregnant ive actually lost 2lb. I've defo gained a belly and boobs but i think im losing muscle so that would explain why i haven't gained weight.
Girls i have a bit of a dilema and its not for another 10 months BUT I have a wedding Next July in Argentina, i wont be booking flights until a couple of weeks before hand but i really don't know if I can go BUT I don't think i would forgive myself if i didn't. its my brother who is getting married, and ive been thinking about it on and off for weeks. do i bring a 3month old or do i leave baby with daddy and granparents for a week as i cant imagine i could go for any longer without the baby. We cant afford for both myslef and hubby to go as we're getting married the following march and flights alone to argentina are €1100! what would you do?
ah I am so looking forward to going. We have family there and havent been for 2 years now so we're well overdue a visit. We also booked into a hotel for some of it as I reckon I'm going to want to relax and get some sleep as well as enjoying the mayhem.
Elly, that's a toughie re Argentina. On the pluses, it's probably not the hardest place to have a child as in the food is recognisable, hotels are clean, people are nice etc. On the negatives, it is a long long journey. And depending on where the wedding is, you might have to get an internal flight from Buenos Aires too. We did it a few years ago and it was exhausting but fabulous. Personally I'm not sure I could bring a child on that journey without the support of my OH, I think it wuold be difficult for you and baby. It's a hard decision. Maybe talk to your parents and OH more about it and see what they all think?0 -

Awh Wicklori, ya poor thing i know how bad i felt in the early stages so can only imagine what its like to still feel like that, hopefully it will ease for you, and it doesn't persist for the whole pregnancy. Really hope you start to feel better soon.
I have been feeling little niggly, fluttery pains, i was getting them last week at my appt and when we seen baby on scan baby was constantly moving so im assuming that's what these little niggles are, well this is what im telling myself they are

I'm not in NY until next weekend. Thank god actually, have been feeling tired sore and v hormonal this week. The belly is popping now so i think the discomfort is probably my tummy stretching. Am just exhausted at the mo though. If I still feel like this by wed, I might go to the doc as part of my shared care to see if I need iron.0 -

How was the weekend for all you ladies? I had a lovely relaxing weekend. That'll be me for awhile anyway im on nurse duty at the min, my OH has glandular fever and is out of work for a few weeks. He's not bed bound which is good but i still want to look after him until he's back to full health because i know i'll need him looking after me soon Doc said i'd nothing to worry about that its not dangerous for me or the baby!
Annettea - the niggles i get are not very noticeable i can only really feel them when im sitting down relaxing. Its cheaper to book the flight closer to the time. My mam has already tried to persuade him to have it here, but his fiancé is from Buenos Aries and all her family are there so it will be going ahead there!
Yellow Hen - no harm going to the doc before ya fly just to get a check up at least it will help you relax knowing everything is ok. i find when i have the stretching pains im really tired, and your into week 16 already so i'd imagine your little one is growing by the day wont be long until you can feel baba move around 0 -

I did book a docs appt for friday morning before we go. Would have been due one when we came home anyways. OH is going to come with me as this might be the first time we hear the heartbeat and i want him to be there too. Girls, Im 17 weeks on Friday and although I have a belly (which probably has more to do with wispas and junk than baby!), I am still in my regular clothes. My jeans dont fit but then they were snug anyways and I have definitely put on more fat around my middle so that doesnt suprise me. Am dying for a real bump! How are you all looking?0 -

elly- how are you? how is your OH he owes you big time now inleast you might get a holiday in Buenos Aires See what happens when the time comes how is your niggles it must be lovely to feel them i think i feel them but ive thought ive felt them for awhile now but i think before it was my imagination and as well my mum kept going on and my OH's friend (who is now an expert in pregnancy since he had a baby a few months ago) kept on asking did i feel the flutters haha but I think I feel the flicks, because they're more noticeable not too sure tho I'll find out out at 18 weeks if they are the same flicks haha..
Yellow hen - 17 weeks in 2 days oh my,, time really goes fast after the 12 week scan doesnt it? You all packed or are you bringing an empty suitcase ha.. how are you feeling this week?0 -

He's ok YH, he'll feel ok but when he exerts himself in anyway he gets weak and feels unwell. So he's to take it easy for the next 3weeks until he's due back to work.
OMG i cant beleive your 17wks on Friday the weeks are flying by! Are they going quick for you? Im still in my regular clothes aswel still using the expanders for my trousers and jeans. I have a small bump and depending on what im wearing ya can see it! I weighed myself yesterday morning and i'd never been so happy to see i gained 2lbs i was thinking if i only gained another 5lbs over the next 4-6 weeks i'd be very happy as i know once we reach the 20 week stage the weight will pile on. I've actually gone off chocolate and i havent been eating as much crap in the last 4 weeks compare to what i ate from about week 6-10.
I went out for Dinner lastnight, once my OH mentions my favourite restaurant i just have to have it. Its the only one thing i crave when he mentions it so we paid a visit lastnight, ohhh it was delicious never lets us down. Its a Malaysian, the food is just amazing, i know i will be eating there everyday when i hit the 40weeks to get things moving as the dish i get can be quite spicy!

Hi elly how was your dinner>? glad that your OH is all better Im off to a spa weekend with one of the girls ohhhh cannnot wait also yestrday OH had his hand on tummy yesterday and we were watching a film than he got all excited and was like "can you feel that" and I said by your palm is it.. and he was like yes. and he was there very excited.. so its not my imagination.. little flicks.. :') 0

Does your bump get smaller when u wake up?? Mine does it freaks me out sometimes obv nothing to worry about. Its like a tiny bump in the morning but by the evening its like hello where did u come from ha. I hope Ihave a nice bump not the messy ones ha. I just can't wait for march: ) I was getting cramps today but I read that its normal for around this time just baby is making more room. So how long u gone now?0 -
I had a nice day Friday but after first round of bowling i was feeling a little twinge so i decided not to do it, tapas was lovely and then had a few sparkling waters and was at home by 10.30pm! I was puking sat night and ive been getting little pains left and right which i assume is baby making more room! i felt a little sick this morning and i taught awh no please dont tell me MS is back but ive been ok since! Im still fealing a bit weak every now and then and cant stand for long periods of time! I am going to get the pregnacare and hopefully that will give me a boost!
Annettea my bump is the exact same small in the morning but after about an hour its back up again. im loving my little bump, sometimes it looks really big others ya cant notice it at all. I can the shape from low down and its just perfect at the min so im hoping it will stay nice and neath
Based on last scan im only 15 weeks today but im sure im more than that as i know the date we conceived which makes me 16 weeks today! so i think my due date is March 18th even tho hospital gave me dates as 15th initially and now 25th. Bit all over the place so i just go with the later date now 25/03/2013 what is your due date? 0 -

I got a facial from the spa cause i wasnt alowed in the relaxation bath but it has healed my skin t was really dry and i even had a rash but its nearly gone now..facial did great..
Oh only a dayu difference i was meant to bue the 3rd of march by dates but scan said 3 weeks later so im 24th march.. Also u add 2 weeks onto the date u conceived and thats how many weeks pregnant xx0 -

Yeah im nearly 100% that we conceived the 24th june which would make me 16 weeks, i had an app on my phone that i kept all my dates in, like when i was due period when i got them, when i was due to ovulate and when i actually did and the dates we did the business etc :-) my phone is in been repaired at the minute so need to wait to get it back to use the app.
Based on due date of 25th it means i didnt ovulate until 2nd july which would have been day 25 which couldnt be right considering my cycle was never more than 34 days long and previous month i was bang on 28days!! Ah well as long as my baby arrives healthy i dont mind what date the little one appears :-)

hey girls just butting in here, when i 1st found out i was pregnant i was given the 2nd of august as my due date, after my 1st scan i was given the 3rd fair enough at my next scan i was given the 7th and then at my big scan at 18 weeks i was given the 14th as my date and that was the final one, my baby was then born on the 24th after having to be induced, i was fit to crack up as i was full sure of my lmp date and almost 99.9% sure of when we concieved, even though she wasnt planned my date would of been the 3rd of august, so i wouldnt worry too much about being told different. i guess the last date the hospital gave me was more or less right though as lo was not a big baby 6lb 14oz, 0

Ha the 2nd of July was my birthday so I thought maybe baby was my present ha ya was totally irregular every 5 to 7 weeks but the 2 scans matched the dates.. ya you should look up deals on the internet for facials or a spa. What u going to do for your birthday?? I must say the woman took extra care of me massaged my face put lots of different moisturizers, some collagen cream exfoliated and she washed it off with hot face cloths and I actually moaned ha it was sooo good and I looked great afterwards if I do say so
I say u feel better after the walk. Stretch those muscles ha its nice to have that time as well with the OH.
I think I start the job next week thought I could hide the bump but yesterday I met up with a friend and she was like ur bump is so cute I was delighted its noticeable but not in a way for next week. And my sister couldnt get over the size of my boobs ha ha. How's baby?? R u noticeable:) x0 -

hi betsie,, sorry I only seen your post congrats on your healthy baby girl id say it was annoying to be told differently every scan you had that the due date was different it's funny how the body works i suppose everyone is different and we all can ovulate after the 14 days on the clock haha hope all is well 0 -

Annethea, i haven't decided what im going to do yet, usually its dinner with the OH and then i generally have a night out with the girls, this year it will be a very quiet one, OH'S birthday is in two week so we generally celebrate both the bank hol weekend as its between both our birthdays.

Yeah im not worried at all about due date, baby will arrive when he/she is good and ready I have a feeling i will go early tho or prehaps have to have section, i havent taught about the birth too much, ive just read that people with endo that have had previous surgery (and ive had 4ops) they generally will be sectioned, i would love a natural birth but whatever it takes to get baby here safe im happy with.
Hahaha Annettea you might have to just come clean, i suppose see how the first week goes and then decide whether you feel you should tell or not. Im showing in my work dresses but can hide it still in my own clothes. i like when its showing tho actually i love it! i wonder will i still be saying that in 10 weeks time when i'll be huge hahaha 0 -

Elly, Oh I dunno to tell them or not about bump maybe keave it a week if i can and pretend im one of these mums that find out very late haha but in least they will see me for the workr i am ill try leave it a week.. I have a uniform tho but it involves a black pants maybe that'll cover it up.. Oh yhats lovely that yer birthdays are close together, easy to celebrate ha .. Are you getting married next year as well?? No? Do u have any idea what to get him for his birthday i think men are so hard to buy for.. Im sure in 10 weeks you'll even look more beautiful and have the glow... Ha my friend had endo and had an op 4 months before she got pregnant and had a natural birthh but u had 4 whar did ur doc say.. +n least sections keep everything down there normal haha ..

Hey Annettea, I'm 17 weeks (based on last period date), but I think I ovulate earlier than normal, so it might be a couple of days more. You are funny, want to be punctual! I just imagine you - "baby, it's time to come out, come on!" Hahaha! Does your pregnancy affect your job in any way? I mean do you actually have to tell them at all? I told my boss when I was still in early days, but that was because my job is very specific and I was worried it would be hard to find a replacement for me.
I dressed up all right last week! Was so tired of feeling mumsy that last week made an effort for everything - went to Ploughing match and I made an effort with makeup for it, guess was trying to impress cows and sheep! I feel much more energy now, I'm back to my old self, don't want to lie on the couch any more, want to go out and socialise and be active again.
Oh yes what do you guys get your OH for their birthdays? For me its always so hard to find something, I think I did good last year with the present, got him a wake up light, but he was talking about it for ages, I knew he wanted it, this year have no idea what to get.
Ellie, you never know how it will be, may be it will be a perfect natural birth, don't worry about it, will see when it comes to it 0 -

Ah Lilbe ya do feel so much better when you just even put some make up on dont ya? I havent been wearing make up in work and at the weekends if im going anywhere i always put a little bit on to make myself feel better!
I haven't even taught about the birth it was just something i had read re: section and to be honest I don't think I'll bring it up with Doc until much closer the time as im not worried as long as baby comes Healthy
Annettea i was due to get married next March but had to put it back a year as original baby due date was the date we had for our Wedding So its now 15th March 2014. getting pregnant was always our first priority as we knew we could get married any time. but decided in June of this year we'll stop trying for 5 months and plan wedding we'd set date and venue but kept it to ourselves as we were waiting until we knew for sure i wasn't pregnant but i was sooooooo happy when we found out we were having a baby, it was the best news ever and then to realise the due date based on lmp was our wedding date we just knew this was meant to be for us and that we were blessed someone was looking out for us
Dont stress yourself about the job and see how the first week or so goes. If you can get away with wearing a lose top to hide it for awhile do and you will know yourself when when the right time is to tell them!0 -

Lilbe, maybe you not believing might have caused stress on your body, maybe subconsciously it was affecting you, the body works in the strangest ways! They say stress can cause your periods to be late etc. We were using ovulation tests for first 6 months and after 3rd month i had an op to clear the endo and flush my tubes to make sure there was no blockages! On the 6th month we ran out of tests and i wasnt spending another 60quid on tests if we were stopping by that stage i knew my boby by this stage and i get ovulation pain on my sides so had an idea when i was ovulating so we went at it every second day and i know this might be TMI but it was the first month in ages that we really enjoyed it as previously it was like right we've a job to do lets do it and both of us felt it was a chore. so obviously both of us was more relaxed and it happened I had even been to my consultant in June and got a prescription to go back on the pill as staying off it while not trying would just aggravate the endo and cause it to come back quicker and be in pain i actually only shredded the prescription the other day when i found it in my handbag!
I believe everything happens for a reason and it was obviously the right time for us all here I think when it takes awhile to conceive when you do its even more special and im not a very holy person but i believe my closest relative who passed away 3 years ago this xmas who was my grandad was looking out for me This will sound mad but at first i felt it wasnt happening because i wasn't married again i stress im not a religious person im not even getting married in a church but i felt my grandad would like me to be married i suppose he knew we'd set a date and knew we were serious so he blessed us with this baby 0 -
awhhh guys yer stories are lovely.. sounds like our babies now are supposed to be.. elly thats crazy that yer wedding date was your due date congrats and it might be a lovely way next year to celebrate your babys 1st birthday

can i tell ye about our trying haha.. okay well as you know we were trying for a baby for a year and half basically since march 2011 when i had the last miscarriage. anyways in may myself and the OH broke up and I moved out as I thought I was a complete failure and my cycle was totally messed up and the nurse even asked me to come in for tests so thats scary.. I even asked him did he think I was a failure and of course he said no etc.. 3 weeks later we met up and elly you talk about too much information but we literally could not keep our hands off eachother for weeks but we still werent together and we didnt know to get back together but we did.. but he even said that I should go for tests just incase so obv it was playing on his mind too.. and 3 weeks after we got back together I found out I was pregnant and I even did tests 2 weeks before and they came back "not pregnant" I thought I was going through the menopause or something even tho im way too young I was late at that time too but I did them again so as you said if you put too much stress on the body it wont happen but its really hard not to especially when you want a baby so bad
