Guinness v Murphy's

    Someone asked this question on here a few years back, in around when Murphy's dropped their prices. I'm just wondering what the general consensus is three years later.

    I wouldn't trust any opinion that wasn't decided blind :p

    Im fairly sure you wont get an answer on which is better. Its purely subjective, As is the taste/smell of any food or drink

    Beamish over either any day for me. But Murphys beats Guinness. I'll admit it wasn't a blind test that made me decide, but I feel like Guinness tastes a little blander than the others.

    I wrote a few weeks ago that Murphy´s is a little bit better, but after drank last weeks many Guinness and Murphy´s cans I am not sure anymore :rolleyes: Both Stouts are genius and it is good that there is competition. So if you have two good products it is a question of your own taste.

    Beamish > Murphy's > Guinness

    I really believe that Beamish's price point prevents converts from Guinness as it is deemed a cheap stout.

    If I had a choice of Guinness, Beamish and Murphy's I would pick Murphy's every time.
    Thankfully I'm not often faced with that choice and will pick none of the above :D

    Have you had o'haras stout on draft.... Had it many moons ago in Dundalk.. Lovely ...don't know if it's still around...
    Does anybody drink murphys outside of cork... I'd be wary of getting the first pint in a long time out of the tap.... Bit like smithwicks in a lot of cork pubs ...
