Foreign affairs and the next administration

    For the start of the new Presidential term, in whichever administration, what do you reckon would be the main issues in foreign affairs to be dealt with
    >Economic downturn in Europe, Mideast fall out from the Arab Spring, East Asia nationalism etc
    or would the domestic politics dictate a more isolationist stance?

    The first thing that springs to mind is the Israel vs Iran and the whole nuclear thing. Its ready to go IMO and will be an issue that will have to be resolved asap. A very tricky situation, in that Obama knows that the fallout could be far worse than the immediate solution, ie attack the nuclear sites in Iran. Romney appears on the other hand to have virtually promised Israel, that an attack will be made with US support. Its going to be a very tricky start for whoever is in office, no honeymoon.
