    With the recent mis-thread bump I'm curious, why can't we bump old threads in this forum?

    I presume you can bump up a thread, but not when you bump up a seven year old thread when your post had nothing to do with the thread in the first place

    Generally, it's because it leads to people getting in arguments with posts that happened long enough ago that the poster is since gone, or the specifics around the issue have changed enough that the threads contents are no longer relevant.
