Have to say im enjoying these games as much as Olympics. Not seeing as much cause of work, but what I have I have been impressed.

Agree with others about Wheelchair Basketball. Some of the skill in that is not far of what I watch in NBA. Unreal ability.

Looking like we will at least have another Gold by tonight, with bit of luck little more.

Medal Watch.... A quiet day tomorrow in terms of Irish competitors in action, but don't let that fool you into thinking we'll get a chance to get our breath back!! Surely we'll be celebrating yet another gold medal tomorrow night when golden boy Michael McKillop goes in the T37 1,500m....he is the outstanding favourite in this event, even more so than the 800m which he won comfortably.

Is definitely today Dan? I thought I heard it being said at the weekend that it was on Saturday? Maybe that was Jason Smyths 200m though.

One way or another it seems very soon after the 800m final on Saturday night

Eilish Byrne narrowly misses out on a medal in the individual freestyle test grade II. She was 3rd with one rider left and missed out by 0.9%

Still she had a silver and a bronze before this if I'm not mistaken, so a great Games for her!

Pisco Sour....some truth indeed in all the points you raise...but we should be extremely proud of our Paralympians and there is no doubt they WON'T get the attention the others got.

Shocking how (relatively) poorly the US are doing...and they have the money to spend surely. And for such a long time they led the way in disability rights etc. On the other hand good to see the Chinese take the paras seriously and hopefully people with disabilities there are beginning to have an easier time in terms of human rights and so n.
it does not supprise me that the USA ,is not doing that well.unlike ireland and the UK who look after those with disability, in the US they are still looked on as second class citizens, its a social care thing

Hard luck Eilish, so close to another medal....yet another 4th place for Ireland...we've had 5 or 6 now already, it's a pity but still great performances.

We have had about 4 or 5 4th place finishes in these games so far too now.

    Going along very well.

The UK tended to be at the top of the medal tables, due to historical reasons of where it started and that in turn makes disability a more visible thing and then more likely to be able to find the good athletes. That China have been dominating for the last few games is great and must surely be down to them having hosted the Olympics last time so put the time into getting disables athletes out in the open. They did mention that Ukraine doing so well in some of the more severely disabled categories was down to them having expected to have a lot more people effected by Chernobyl so put a lot of investment into their care but then luckily those numbers of casualties didn't emerge.

I'm watching the Paralympic swimming in complete awe. People with no arms doing a backstroke, and doing it mighty fast too...:)

Setanta are showing full live coverage of the Athletics at the moment, Channel 4 are doing a lot of analysis and interviews.

Karolina Kucharczyk just won the F20 Long Jump. Each of her first five jumps would have beaten the old World Record. I didn't see her final jump, but what a sequence.

Don't forget Channel 4 not only have the output on the main channels but 3 extra streams dedicated to certain events, if you've got Sky.

LEXI is a very important innovation, the fact is the vast majority of people don't understand Paralympic sport, which led to people saying Ellie Simmonds somehow has a an unfair advantage in the pool. I'd be interested to know how Setanta are explaining the classifications.
