Only if they think he's worth it at the end of the loan deal, and i think that's an outside chance.

Tbh just getting rid of him for 3-5 mil will be very good business.

    Agreed.
I find it hard to understand why they didn't just offer him for sale and ask "what are you prepared to pay".
No point being stubborn over a player who doesn't want to be here and couldn't hit a barn door when he wanted to be here.

He has more premier league medals than anyone else in our squad.

Sure he's had two serious injuries he'll fit right into our medical teams setup.

    So has Gael Clichy :)
I don't think Essien would be anything special, but could be usefull.

Yes but he's a bit like last week's bread -- stale.

Like Meg Ryan in RomComs. Used to be nice to look at but now it's all a bit awkward and unnecessary.

Definitely dont want Essien, we shouldnt be buying our rivals cast offs, the guy is past it. Would be a hugely underwhelming signing. Id rather give Coquelin a game. Im not optimistic about us signing any major player today, same old story with us, making a profit in the transfer market when we still need some bodies to allow us to push on in the league. I hope im wrong though.

Apparently Yossi is up for loan again. Wouldnt mind him back.

Lets wait and see what develops over the next few hours. Have a beer and bask in the ridiculousness.

Essien would free up Diaby, Arteta & Wilshere to get forward more which would help us out with the lack of goals.

Yossi put in a shift for us last year. I'd take him back.

Yossi won't be back, if Wenger thought he was worth it we wouldn't have sent him back, or we could have at least tried to buy him.

I didn't make any statement of fact, only that i'd take him over Carroll.
£100k a week for Carroll, lol
    What's wrong about that?

I have no idea what you're on about.

Carroll is better than Chamakh. By a long way.

Thats really all there is to it.

Why because he cost £32M and scored 11 goals for Liverpool.?:pac:
Chamakh scored that for us in his first season in English football, and cost nothing and that's in a team that doesn't play to his strengths.
Get off your high horse, opinions aren't wrong or right , they're opinions.

The fact that he was overpriced does not make him worse than Chamakh. In fact, its irrelevant. I'm not asking who is better value for money. I'm asking who is better.

    Carroll is better.

An easy way to work this out is that Chamakh is currently worse than useless. He makes no contribution on a footbal field whatsoever. I know this because I have watched his uselessness the last number of times he has been played. Every other time, he has been not let near the pitch by Wenger, who recognises his uselessness.

He is drawing a salary, and doing nothing for it, hence we are desperate to get rid of him.

Carrol has his flaws, but I'd take him any day over the current waste of space we have.
