Amazon app store in ireland???

i was able to download the app but when i went to download an app (a free one) it told me that i need to have a us credit card. has anyone have any luck with downloading apps? or is there any other android app store other than the android market? thanks

Get an anti-virus if using alternatives to Google Play (or even if using Google Play store).

Anyway the Opera web browser has its own mobile store:

The Amazon Appstore expanded to France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK today.

Hopefully Ireland isn't far behind...

Just tried it to see if it would work, and it wouldn't let me download today's free app (Angry Birds) - said to check that my billing address was in a supported country.

Yea same here, also as I downloaded the app from Amazon.co.uk site I was surprised to see the $ sign show up next to the appps in the market.

Odd that it doesn't work. I was sent an email prompting me to download it, a bit silly, you'd think an address cross-check would take place.

Are the 'free' apps really free, or just stuff you can mooch with a bit of searching from the normal Play Market?

What's the 'price' for the free stuff? ..does the Amazon app data mine your phone\tablet in return?
