A little help tuning.

    Hey, I am pretty much brand new to using an instrument so I bought myself a theory book a guitar book and a fender FT-004 tuner but for the life of me I dont know what i am looking at exactly. I have done a few searches but I cant find proper instructions, they are probably enough for more advanced users but i might as well be looking into a bush.

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    You want the dial to be at the twelve o'clock position on the tuner.

    You tune the strings:
    E - This is the highest string, the one closest the floor, the thinest string.
    B
    G
    D
    A
    E - This is the lowest string, the one closest to the ceiling, the thickest string.

    I'm not sure if it's covered in the video but I always try to tune up to the pitch of the relevant note. So, for example if you're tuning to E, tune below E to near D# and then tune up to E. This ensures that the string stays good and tight.
