Would anyone mind if we swapped Anderson for him? I certainly wouldn't.

Ando's flattered to deceive far too often while Dembele looks the real deal & the type of player we need.

Personally I just wouldn't feel right doing that.

Think it would be harsh on Ando not to give him this season to show us if he can step up.

I'd like Dembele so we'd have someone to go shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Yaya but just not at the expense of Anderson.

I want all the cake! :pac:

Missed the game yesterday, I heard from a friend Dembele was outstanding, is that correct?

    Old Dunkie mentioned it tonight.

Sir Alex Ferguson blocks Tottenham's approach for Anderson. #MUFC #THFC #BRA

Manchester United, meanwhile, have blocked a move from Tottenham to sign their Brazil midfielder Anderson.

Andre Villas-Boas, who is seeking an alternative to his preferred target Joao Moutinho, inquired about the availability of the 24 year old whose progress at Old Trafford has been hindered by injury. Sir Alex Ferguson does not want to sell.

I think Dembele is the player Fergie hopes Ando can become.

Did we not have a £5m bid for Dembele rejected? Strange seeing posters annoyed Fergie is not interested when we could have bid for him already this summer.

IF we did bid £5m and it was laughed off as reports suggest, surely Dembele played well enough for the lads upstairs consider throwing another £7m or so in Fulham's direction.

If not? I say pitchforks at the ready lads, lets hunt down the "Cute Hoore" whos spreading transfer lies around these parts! :pac:

This is how I imagine Fergie talking to Anderson nowadays.

Wel I'm mainly annoyed hes not a Utd player. Whether we bid or not doesn't change that.

Fergie saying business is "definitely done" doesn't fill me full of confidence that this fact will change this week.

Daily Fail linking Macheda with a loan to Bursaspor. Can't see that loan being a success! :pac:
Manchester United striker Federico Macheda is wanted on loan by Turkish side Bursaspor. Sir Alex Ferguson is willing to let the 21-year-old go out on loan despite Wayne Rooney's thigh injury.

The Italian has been pursued by Besiktas but Bursaspor are willing to offer a £1million loan fee.

In fairness he said the same about 4 days before we went and signed Büttner, I know there is a fair difference between the nature of the Büttner signing and a probable Dembélé signing, but just because Fergie says we finished it doesn't mean we're finished.

In my own opinion though I can't see any more signings, which is a shame because I was a fan of Dembélé's since the days he was initially playing as a centre forward for Fulham, but I still have high hopes for Anderson and Cleverley, if only an injury free season for both of them was likely.

The first time he said 'business is done' was when RVP signed wasn't it?

I remember him giving a look to David Gill and cracking a joke about it.

Wasn't very definitive the first time he said it and I'd say he was won over by Rene Meulensteen that Buttner was worth the punt.

Hard to believe Fergie would go back on what he said twice in one window.

Just tell Fergie that Dembele was a striker and can play on the wing. He would defo sign him then.

Have to praise Rafael, he was like Denis Irwin on glucose or caffeine pills yesterday - getting forward and causing problem. Can he take peno's?

I don't think it really matters to Fergie what he says and how many times he says it with the media around, he doesn't want anybody to know United's business until the business is done because all it usually does is harm our prospects in the transfer market anyway. If Ferguson had his way the first time anyone would hear of a new signing is when there is a photo taken of himself and the player holding a United jersey.

Basically, him saying the deals are done could be equally as false as they might be true, it's up to supporters and journalists to decide which way it is.

I'm moving over to Bangor in Wales two days before that. I'll be in the pub down the road from my house for that one. Won't know a single person in Bangor.

If we lose I can always drown my sorrows with £2 pints of Strongbow. And if we win I can celebrate with £2 pints of Strongbow. Can't wait :D.

I know. Has to be done for college though and it's only for the one year. If I get my qualifications and all goes well with interviews in April/May I'll hopefully be a season ticket holder in OT this time next year.

That's the only thing keeping me going at the moment :P.

Sorry to be a killjoy, but I've only spent about 4 weeks of my life in my own country. You're best off asking elsewhere.

I don't even know where Bangor is... (I'm mostly a history student atm going to do politics at Uni when I go in 2013/14, Geography ain't my strong point).

It's up the north of the country. Right beside Snowdonia.

It's miles from any big city. It'd be quicker for me to come back home to Ireland than it would for me to try and get to Birmingham, Liverpool or Manchester I reckon.

At least I'll get to see Bangor City play every other weekend. Kilkenny City shut up shop a good few years back and I'm looking forward to going to seeing games on a Friday night again.

I'll get to see the legend that is Les Davies as well. I'm really looking forward to that. Hopefully I can get a picture and an autograph.

Sounds like something from a children's fantasy novel.
And the Snowdonia's from Snowdonia began preparing for the arrival of their future king, Jimmy Iovine.

    Damn, I'm good.

Sure head down to the Liberty for our game there.

Seen Duncan Castles earlier saying that Spurs were interested in Anderson.
