I've a feeling by the end of the year Allen will be undroppable in most liverpool fans eyes.

Allen and Sterling should be the first names on our teamsheet every week IMO. Allen has been immense and Sterling will cause every defence a problem.

Not at all, he was far too expensive and was a poor signing as his number was already in Rodger's mobile.

I'll leave this here instead of the match thread.

Could we all PM that to Roger Sterling? He's very quiet today

Do not see why that should be an issue with how good he is or will be. Seriously you think because Rogers knows him he could just name his price. Allen is playing well for me at the moment and if he is what we need a midfield then great and how he came means jack sh1t

Whatever happens in the next 25 minutes, Sahin coming into this midfield makes me feel like this

    Yes?
One mistake doesnt take away from the previous 79 minutes where he was brilliant.

lots of positives to take from today.

sterling, allen, and shelvey all excellent.
    skrtel...bad mistake but otherwise great

Absolutely brilliant performance that. We completely bossed the game today. More of that please. We need to be putting those displays in against the likes of Sunderland when we play them in a few weeks.

I would have taken that at the start and so many positives but still can't help feel a little bit disappointed after gifting City two goals .

Raheem Sterling; a star is born .

A performance like that last week and could have gone top on GD. Hopefully the addition of Sahin will make the difference in these games this season

Absolutely brilliant performance, i cant see a negative in anyones performance. Skrtel was immense at the back bar that one mistake, Reina looked solid bar his flap for the first. Allen is undroppable already, as is Sterling IMO. Suarez was poor enough until he got the goal and then stepped up and started playing like we know he can.

    +1

A lot of positives in that game, gutted we didn't come away with the win but would certainly have taken a draw at the start of the game, and again when Lucas got injured.

    Joe Allen was immense.

This pretty much sums up exactly how I feel.

Also thank you for your service Carragher but that is all now. Very happy Coates got a decent 90 minutes in there.

I know a lot of people will be disappointed, and rightly so. But individual errors aside, we were brilliant and outplayed City for the majority of the game. Sterling and Allen look like they've played for us for years. Shelvey did quite well especially after the torrid game v Hearts. Couple of great goals. The pressure off the ball at times was like that during Rafa's big games managing the club. There were a good few positives to take from today despite a bit of a flat feeling post match no doubt.

Oh and Gerrard played well too before I forget.

We still need an out and out striker

Great performance, the result is gutting. Any news on the injury to Lucas?

If I was gonna be super picky I thought Borini wasn't great at times.

What was the average age of the team that started? must of been pretty low

Mr. Alan will be losing a bet me thinks. Raheem was superb, we've a gem there for sure.
