Anyone else excited about RVP and Kagawa playing their first games at Old Trafford for United?

I can't wait, its a bit like Christmas Eve.

Please don't churn that one out again. It's a slippery slope.

Do you want to know why you are feeling like a target for your Nani opinion? Because you never once said anything about selling Nani until Monday night... Now you want him gone. That my friend is a knee-jerk reaction, based on the worst performance of his United career. It's as clear as day.

You started off really well, I know myself and probably others were enjoying the way you engaged in debate. Seems to me you took Monday night very badly, your style has been totally different since then and your being called out an awful lot, I understand why you could feel like a victim, but it's not how it seems.

    Have to agree with this.

Jame Gumb, before the game on Monday you said Nani was world class here and that it would be a "big mistake" to let him leave here. Since the game on Monday however you now want him replaced, oh and Rooney is obese. It doesn't add up.

I think you're a good contributor, but if you're going to have an emotional breakdown every time we lose a game then I may have to stick you on ignore!! :)

and the destiny part made sense? :pac:

There is a lot said in this thread that makes no sense.. I guess sometimes I like to join in and add to the confusion. :P

    Haha!

I just think people are mixing up let and leave and it's becoming more common. Let him go would make more sense.

Ah yes, the good old clique gets thrown around again.

Until recently, only ever heard two fellas saying that - were both from Kerry...Been noticing a lot more recently though...

To be fair Nani had one bad game, we all know what he is capable of and he is certainly one of the best wingers in the world. I think it is his decision making that lets him down. I'd much rather have Nani in the team then Hazard to be honest.

All the talent in the world but it seems to take 10 bad games from him in order to get 1 good one from him, which imo isn't good enough for a club that is looking to challenge for PL's and CL's every year.

    Irish94 wrote: »
I can't really judge him off two games. I'll judge him when he plays on a rainy, wet Monday night in Upton Park or the Britannia etc.

I don't think Nani is a big fan of playing on a wet Monday night in Upton or Britannia either to be fair.
    baz2009 wrote: »
So how do you know he didn't play the best two games of his life?
Nani has had games where he has looked like the best player in the world. This is a harsh word, but I think it' retarded to want to swap one of United's best players for a player who you've only seen play a couple of times. Stinks of overreaction from Monday night.

Again I don't think it is an overreaction. As I have said above the lad has bags of talent but he doesn't seem to bothered about using it. He trots around the pitch half arsed at times.

Looks like you're talking to yourself Baz!

I dunno how anyone can make a judgement on 180 minutes of football.

When we played Sporting Lisbon a few years ago in Pre Season several players approached Fergie after the match and told them to get this Ronaldo lad because he was quality. That was after 90 minutes of football.

It's fairly easy to spot quality when you see it.

Personally I would also see Nani shown the door. I think he has been given enough time to show he can do it on a consistent basis and he hasn't come up with the goods. He offers us nothing special that warrants us keeping him.

    Ah come on - Seriously????

Yeah he was piss poor last Monday, but he is our best winger by quite a way.

Have a look at this and tell me there is nothing special about him.

I actually think that video highlights my exact point about him!

That video shows him doing some skill (which he has in abundance) scoring the odd goal (In the Charity Shield, one or two pre season friendlies, last years destruction of Arsenal and the game where we played a Chelsea team that seemed to be internal destruction)

But that also shows videos of him beating the same players two or 3 times over. Getting into good positions and making a mess of it.

That video has footage going back over the last few season also by the way and repeats it's self a couple of times over.

But doesn't use it consistently enough!

I'm not disputing the quality that he has or that he shows at times but my problem is the times he shows it are too infrequent!

If your looking to collect major honours you can't afford to have passengers in the team.

Name three PL wingers who produce goals and assists more consistently than Nani.

Well a lot of team aren't using wingers in the traditional sense but... Silva, Mata, Valencia and Gareth Bale. Nani comes next.

Bloody hell man, I didnt make the video - it was the first one a youtube search threw up - it wasn't meant to be dissected - It was meant to show that there is definitely 'something special' about Nani, something which you have said the opposite of.

Also see you call him a passenger... To be fair, this is nonsense - there is no way a 'passenger' would win three Premier League medals...

To repeat what I said, Nani was definitely one of the more disappointing performers last Monday night, but the clamour to get rid of him is way over the top.

I never said you did?? No need to get so sensitive about it  What was it meant for?

I never said there either was or wasn't anything special about him. What I did say was that yes, he is talented but extremely inconsistent with it. Just to repeat what I said.

Did Nani win all those 3 by himself???

Argument out the window. Mata gets more goals and assists than Nani does?

Nani is an outstanding winger. He isn't the best, nor is he terrible. Next topic please.

Anyone that wants Nani gone just can't be taken seriously. It's as simple as that really.
