Was dropping some stuff back to my local tool hire place yesterday and this '56 Chrysler Imperial was parked out front, sorry I didn't have a chance to get a pic of the front of it.

    [edit]

And I also met this German registered MG on the road the other day, which seems a little strange in that it has a windscreen and aero screens. (Sorry for the very low res pic.)

Thought it might have been an ex-Garda Turbo by the colour, but then I saw the reg. .......

Spotted these passing through Quilty last Sunday, didn't have much time to spare so the celica got all my camera's attention.

Twice over the weekend I spotted what looked like a shelby daytona, met it on the road once and saw/heard it from a distance the
next day, all near Doolin. Didn't catch the reg but I'm guessing
it's a kit car due to the rarity of the real thing.

I think that model allows the windscreen to be folded flat, which would allow the aero screens to come into their own.

Very clean and generally unmolested '75 Camero.

A Lincoln of some sort. Couldn't see the owner close by to find out more. Great looking car IMO.

Fully thought that was a Do-more Swedish scene until I saw the 'ZV'

    It said 'Lincoln' ??

    Not like the grille http://www.streetrodderweb.com/features/0804sr_1939_lincoln_zephyr/photo_01.html

    I'd say 37 - 55 Plymouth

The owner just wandered off leaving the drivers window fully open? Or at least thats how it looks from the lack of reflection in the second pic. Very brave in this day & age

Third pic, white line 'reflection' on top of drivers seat, so window secured. Be more worried about sudden shower getting on seat this summer than theft :D

This is more like "I found an old picture of a classic". This is my grandmother's Triumph Mayflower, photo taken probably early 50s.

ZE, Dublin reg, looks like Sugarloaf in the background?

Yeah, it's possible. We were trying to work out where the photo was taken. It could be somewhere in Kerry too, they used to go there for holidays.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,958 ✭✭✭delthedriver

Yes it could be Kerry also, possibly on the Ring of Kerry. Being familiar with both counties, it has got me thinking.
By the way the car is gorgeous. It it still on the road?

Had to go back for a closer look - and you could well be right. 2nd pic still looks strange though. Can't work out what profile of window wouldn't have a reflection when the one in front of it and behind it both do

I did a reg check on it, there was no record, so I suspect it is long gone.

I'm definitely not upset, I just don't understand how some people can waste their time by posting sh***y pictures... ;) next time go back and buy a camera :p

edit: I was thinking about posting the complete Crookstown and Coachford (maybe a Castletownroche and Charleville too) show albums, but nah... f**k it... :D
