UPC box and hdmi out

    Hi,
    I am with UPC and have the basic non HD digital pack with DVR ( grey box, think Thompson ). The UPC box/remote have been doing weird things of late. My question is if i request a new UPC box will i be able to use a hdmi cable rather than a scart like my current one - scart is giving poor audio when hooked to TV. There is no HDMI out on current box, and i do not watn tot upgrade to HD.

    If you have problems with your box they will send a technician. He may swap your box for the exact same model. However if you ask the technician nicely he/she may give you a better model.

    Either way don't accept dodgy remote and sound. Complain and get something done. Try to keep a record of everytime something goes wonky.
