    5 misplaced passes so far.

No big deal, 1st day and all.

We're aren't looking half bad. A bit rusty but team looks to be working well together. Why no match thread today?

Cazorla getting caught out a few times with the ball.

We're getting to a lot more breaks than usual and Gervinho looks great. Would like to see Giroud on for Walcott, he's a half-step off the pace.

Big chance there, great run from Walcott

podolski is lookin a lil lost up front, id switch walcott for giroud at ht and move pod out wide

Gervinho has been great on the left, maybe his better position than the right
Cazorlas passing not up to scratch yet

Was gonna say I couldn't believe he didn't score but getting poleaxed by two players at the same time might have had something to do with it.

Positive half, looking to see Giroud later.
LeBoss has very sweaty underarms :D

fairly decent first half, we created but were unlucky not to get anything. sunderland seem to be defending well though (i have a very choppy connection and im only getting to see so much of the game)

Bit more penetration than was typical last year but still just not quite good enough and Sunderland are defending well, even when they seem opened up there's someone getting back to make a block or a tackle.

Did he play in blue for his last club? He seems to want to pass to them.

Lads, does anybody know the websites to get cheap jerseys? I used to always use soccertriads.com but they don't seem to ship to Ireland anymore for some reason :(

I suspect tiredness from that absolutely retarded midweek friendly.

We haven't won any of our last 3 games at home to Sunderland, today is the day we change that.
I've a feeling Giroud will have a good impact when he comes on.

It looks like his awareness isn't great right now, it may take a few games in the League.

Would've liked to see him on for the second half.

Ramsey on for Cazorla could work out nicely too.

He's doing plenty of pointing for the defence at least.

Nice chasing back there by Gervais.

Players always do that when they are trying to deflect away from their mistakes :)

I wasn't being completely sincere :pac: Nah even when there's no pressure he seems to want to get involved which is a decent sign.

It is, give him a little time and I think he will light up the league.

Even Podolski chasing back, much better system this is.

Wish they'd give it to Gervonho a bit more.

    Giroud warming up

Hopefully Giroud comes on sooner rather than later. Need to liven things up up there.

Awful lot of space at times in Sunderland's half and we're not making much use of it.
